Dishes get clean. Our unit doesn't dry very well . Not a big deal for us but it may bug some people . Seen quite a few other reviews of people saying the same .

It's very disappointing to see what's become of a once dependable brand. This is a midrange model price wise, but it has performed like a lousy, bargain-basement machine. The racks don't adjust enough to allow for different loading configurations. Even when new it often left dishes cloudy (despite the fact that I use a rinse aid) and routinely covered in residue (despite the fact that I clean the filters regularly). Its cycles take a very long time to complete and has no rinse & hold. The silverwear rack in the door is a nuiance - the soap packets often get caught ....and knives hit soap dispenser when taking the rack out to empty it. Worst of all: in less than 3 years, the pump broke and no longer had the power to turn the washer arms. because Whirlpool only offers a 1 year warranty, I'm now faced with a $500 bill to have it replaced or a $100 bill to replace it and have a new one installed. Thanks a lot whirlpool!

This dishwasher lives up to my expectations. It is quiet and cleans the dishes effectively.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher similar to this one in 2017. In the 1st year the top spray arm stopped working. We had it fixed under warranty. ONE year later it broke again, at that point it was not longer under warranty. We did not fix it. A couple of months ago, the door only opened halfway. Yes, you read that right. Then a few days later it opened all the way but it was suddenly very heavy. The minute we opened it the door would slam down. After all this it is not worth spending the $$ to repair it. We just bought another dishwasher and needless to say it is NOT a Whirlpool

Bought this dishwasher as a gift for my parents to replace their older model Whirlpool. The stainless steel looks great and it runs quiet.

I have always expected dishwashers to be one of the lasting elements in a kitchen. This one lasted for about two and a half years, with regular use. I always had to make sure there was no food caked on before putting the dishes in. Next time I'll be investing in a better quality dish washer, seeing as how it is used every day or so.

Pretty good so far I don’t have any complaints Best Buy came replaced and Conquered.

Has stopped working for the 2nd time since we purchased it. We didn't have a service repair place in my area so Whirlpool told me to find my own and they'd reimburse me. I did and Sears fixed it. That was November of 2021. Now the same issue is back. I was determined to get Whirlpool because I believe they stand behind their products and that they make good products. I was sooooo wrong.

I've had this dishwasher a few months now and overall I have been disappointed. I even called about exchanging it, but I was already past my 30 day cut off. My biggest complaint is that after washing my dishes and silverware all seem to have a film of some sort still on them. I hate the idea of having to hand "wash" everything before I run the dishwasher. I've had slightly better luck using the heavy cycle, but no matter where I put the silverware holder my flatware doesn't look clean. I have accepted that it is what it is, but it's just disappointing.

some large review I always wanted to write for which I have been preparing a lot and finally got a chance to do it.

I purchased this dishwasher last month and replaced the unit once already for defect. I noticed that any type of detergent I use gets smeared across all of my utensils and plates at the end of washes -- sometimes in clumps. I tried washing with just 5 pieces of utensils and plates, and then the usual loads which loosely fit across all the racks. Still the same. Anyone experiencing this?

Not too happy with the dishwasher. After you out heat dry, it still has condensation on dishes and not completely dry.

Had dishwasher installed on July 13th and it worked for 2 loads. I called and they had to come out to replace the instrument panel. They had to order the part so I didn't have a dishwasher until August 10th. Disappointed in the quality. I am glad I bought the extended warranty though. Now it is working great!

So far, it's a good product and I am satisfied with it.

Bought Whirlpool refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range, and microwave, new in February 2019 after our remodel. July of 2019 the refrigerator quit working while we were away for a weekend, and everything spoiled. The repair man unplugged it and restarted it and has been working ever since. The gas range quit in November of 2019. A new control board, under warranty, fixed this problem. In July of 2021 this same part is broken again. The repair man is still looking for a “Genuine Whirlpool” part so we can use the oven. The dishwasher quit working February of 2021. A new circuit board, genuine Whirlpool mind you, fixed this situation. It has again stopped working in September of 2021. Another circuit board from, you guessed it, genuine Whirlpool, fixed the dishwasher AGAIN. The name WHIRLPOOL is like a four letter word in this house. NEVER AGAIN.

I bought this dishwasher just over four years ago. About two years later the motor went out, which was a $113.00 part since it was after the warranty expired. Six months later the heated drying stopped working, and the dishes are soaking wet when they finish washing. We have just been hand drying them since then rather than pay for another expensive part. This dishwasher does a horrible job cleaning the dishes too. We are fed up with it and will now be buying a new one.

I purchased this 8 months ago to replace an old mechanical dishwasher that never gave me any problems but was the wrong color. When I went to do a load of dishes Thanksgiving week, I noticed that the dishes did not wash, even though it went through all of the cycle. Called Whirlpool and scheduled a service call. Technicians quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty water pump. How can a pump go bad in 8 months being used lightly (2 cycles per week)? Now I have to wait for the part to come in and be installed. Technician said this is not as uncommon as you would think. I wish I had bought a Maytag or at least the extended warranty.

I have had nothing but trouble with this dishwasher. Had to replace the heating element shortly after getting it. It leaks and now the motor has burned out. I am VERY disappointed in Whirlpool and will never buy another Whirlpool product.

We had this dishwasher for just over 5 years before it stopped working. The motor went out and they noted that the racks are already rusting. A dishwasher should definitely last longer than this. We just got a Bosch and everything about it is better.
