Whirlpool 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher: Dishwashing has never been so easy with this high-performance Whirlpool dishwasher. With room for up to 14 place settings, this dishwasher comes with an adjustable silverware basket, a soil-sensing wash system, and 4 cycle options to choose from.
Q: Does it come with a power cord?
A: Unfortunately no and I just found that out after it got delivered to my house. My question is why does it not come with a power cord? How are you suppose to use it? That’s like buying a truck and it does not come with tires.
Q: what is difference between a regular dishwasher and a "tall tub"?
A: Hello there! There is very little difference in height, width, and depth between a tall tub and regular tub dishwasher. The tall tub allows for plates that are larger than normal the space needed to clean properly. I have a link between two units, the tall tub on the right, that will help show the specs between the two units. I hope it helps you. http://www.whirlpool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/WHRCompareProductsDisplay?catalogId=10561&categoryId=721820&langId=-1&storeId=10211
A: Most likely your heating element isn't working. If it doesn't heat the detergent up to a certain temperature than it will leave (smear) residue and globs of detergent over your dishes.
Q: Is the siverware rack attached to door? Or like most takes up room on rack?
A: The silverware basket is attached to the door and can be removed for unloading.
A: If you look at the instruction manual, you can see how you can adjust the springs. Basically you pull the dishwasher out and you will see a spring on either side connected to the base. There are a series of holes that you can move the spring to. Towards the door will lessen the tension and away will increase it. It sounds like yours it too tense. Try moving the spring towards the doors a slot or two (both side equally) until you get the tension you like. You shouldn't have to have the lower rack out just to keep the door from closing. Hope this helps.
A: sounds like water is backing up into your dishwasher from the drainline, did you install with the air gap or install the drainline with a high loop to prevent backflow of water?
Q: will this adjust to fit under a counter of 33 7/8"????
A: Thank you for your interest in Whirlpool dishwashers. I have been looking at our brands and most require a 33 1/2 height to fit the units. The feet removed or lowered my only provide about 1/2" of space at the most, so the fit will be tight but it should work. I have provided the use and care guide as it provides the minimums required to install the dishwasher so you know before the purchase. I hope this provides the best guide and help possible.
