The freezer doesn’t give out warnings when it’s not closed properly. Purchased it for a year and I had to clean out freezer (bc left ajar) 5x now. Would be nice if there’s a warning when doors aren’t closed properly. Do not buy if you don’t want to wake up to cleaning your freezer from frosting up.

Owned exactly 18 months. The water dispenser froze up while the refrigerator portion was on 5 (freezer on 4)and it had changed to 7 on its own. I tried to change the temp and nothing changes, either for the refrigerator or freezer. Unplugged it from outlet, left doors open and removed filter. Water filter inlet thawed out, replaced the filter, water comes out. But now the temp is 7 and it won't change and it immediately froze up again. We never changed the temps except twice immediately after installing. Warranty for Chinese parts - 1 year. Replacing this with a better brand and disposing of it in the local landfill.

I just received the refrigerator today. When I open the vegetable drawer the plastic piece that hold the glass collapses and I can put the drawer back in place unless I lift the plastic piece with my hand. I purchased the "3 yr protection plan" so if anything happened it would be taken care of quickly. Well......I called the store and was given a 5 day wait time to come to my house and take care of it. No consideration for the fact that I just got the fridge.....some might think ....well is a drawer....but you expect that not to be an issue that has to wait for so long. Not so pleased about the service either.

Have it for 1 yr and a half and noticed the 2 big drawers were sagging. It turns out to be a design flaw. The frame part# W10329866 broke because there is no support at the center and the plastic used were not strong enough to support both drawers. I am going have to re-engineer it with proper support beam. Another problem is the plastic material seems to deteriorate in less than 2 yrs and most of the white plastic pieces are falling apart. Worst refrigerator I've ever had.

We've had this refrigerator less than five years and it's falling apart. The door to the slide-out section never fit properly and it's always falling off, the left door doesn't close all the way unless it's forced and now the freezer drawer doesn't close either. We thought we were investing in an item/brand that would last a long time, but we were wrong. It's just two adults in our household no kids, so it doesn't get a lot of rough use/wear-and-tear so it's a huge disappointment that it's already a mess. Do not buy.

Purchased in October 2020 water filter started leaking in January 2021. Service company came out in 2 days. Now they can’t get the part to fix it. Not even able to give and solutions. Tried the whirlpool service again, all I can say is hahahaha. No luck would never buy this again! Buyer beware! We purchased the 5 year warranty and Best Buy’s says it’s not covered by them because it is still under factory warranty.

I purchased this refrigerator in Jan 2020 and in Jan of 2022 the water line to the ice tray started to leak and water drips in the tray making one big block of ice. And the computer board is broken and it keeps defrosting are making my food go bad. And after spending $2000 of this, it is now going to need $500 in repairs 2 years later. Whirlpool does not stand by their products and will not fix it.

Fridge only lasted six years. Freezer not cooling anymore. There is a leak that cannot be located. For price fridge should have lasted much longer

I would really like this refrigerator except for the fact that it is the absolute loudest refrigerator I’ve ever been around. The white noise whirring sound isn’t the best but isn’t too terrible. HOWEVER, it also emits an (intermittent but nearly constant) high pitched frequency that we can hear throughout our downstairs. Totally unacceptable. Could drive sane people crazy.

Bought this for my new house that has all Whirlpool appliances. 3 times now I have shut the doors only to find out a hour later they were not closed. No warning sound like my old Samsung. Ice built up on the inside. The 2 vegetable and fruit drawers do not close properly.

The gaskets are made out of parchment paper. Avoid.

We bought from a different retailer, and the compressor failed two months shy of two years in. Dealing with warranty company and repair people is a nightmare. Whirlpool doesn't give a darn either.

This thing buzzes like crazy. I've had it for 6 weeks, repair guys came and nothing has improved. The buzzing is almost unbearable. Keeps stuff cold at least. Really disappointing.

I know most refrigerators have a 7-10 year life, but this one didn't make it 3 years. I loved the design but was disappointed with the reliability.

Fridge showed up missing a leg. Waterline and ice maker did not work.
