Needed a refrigerator to fit a specific size wall and this one was perfect! Quiet, love the ice maker and filtered water feature. Much more spacious inside than it looks. Side door compartments hold a lot as well. Perfect for bigger bottles. All in all, very happy with this refrigerator and would highly recommend.

We purchased a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator because we had good luck with the previous one. The ice maker was contained in the freezer door allowing more room on the inside with multiple shelves and drawers.

This is the second exact same Whirlpool side by side refrigerator we bought this year. We needed a second refrigerator and loved the first one so much. For a side by side, the freezer is really deep and we have no problem freezing large items.

This refrigerator would be GREAT if it had adjustable shelves. A gallon of milk will only fit on the top shelf making it heavy when full for a shorter person to reach and handle.

I like the extra space, and the ability to lower the drink backlight

Love this fridge! Lots of room. Ice maker has quit working though. Repaired it once, was electric connection below door. It has quit again. Can anyone build a fridge that's icemaker works for the life of the fridge?

Has lots of nice features. Sadly, there is a serious design / manufacturing flaw with the icemaker as many others have mentioned. The wiring harness between the main unit and the left door is too short and badly positioned. Eventually this will result in abrasion breaking the wires to the icemaker. I fixed this twice. After the wires broke the second time, I added about 2 inches length to the wires in order to release stress when the door opens. Also, relocated the wire harness and added multiple cable ties around it to protect from abrasion. Broke twice in six years. Let's see how long it lasts this time. Was out of warrantee by two years on the first breakage so was on my own to handle what would have been very expensive (door replacement.) Too bad Whirlpool has decided not to come up with a good permanent fix and instead handle it on a case-by-case basis.

I love this Whirlpool side by side. better than the LG I had before this one. easy to clean, perfect size for me.

Love the size. The refrigerator is noisily as mentions several times in other reviews. There also seems to be a problem on this model with the wires at the bottom of the freezer door breaking from opening and closing. This effects the ice maker. My ice maker stop working after buying it in 2020.

It’s noisier than the LG I had but I hope it last longer.

Love this refrigerator! Its spacious and there is a place for everything. Love the ice maker in the door.

I love this fridge! I used to have a French door style but the side by side is so much better - it's so much easier to see what's in the freezer.

Quiet, especially the ice maker. Interior lighting rather limited --behind drawers in both compartments which doesn't help if drawers loaded. Other lights are on back walls, again, blocked to some degree. SS finish is nice. Doesn't seem 3 cu.ft. bigger than 25-ft unit it replaced.

Its a great fridge but be warned of a major design flaw which has resulted in lawsuits. The wires at the bottom of the freezer door hinge which connect to the rest of the fridge get worn down after a couple of years and break which stops the ice maker working. Only fix is to relair the wires or replace the entire fridge door which costs $1000. We used Whirlpools preferred service provider and they fixed the wire but it only lasted 2 weeks and now our only option is to replace the entire freezer door. Its a good fridge but if you look online, this issue has affected a lot of Whirlpool customers.

We were so excited to find this refrigerator which was one of the few that fit the opening for our old refrigerator. The reviews looked great but I am at a loss to why. Just before the warranty ran out, it started making funny noises and everything in the fridge began to spoil. Apparently it was not staying cold enough, and they repaired it under warranty. 2 weeks later, it began to be too warm one day, too cold the next. Repairman came out and said it was working fine -- that some shelves get colder than others. Now much of the food on the refrigerator side is frozen solid. I have thrown out so much food that was ruined over the last year. The latest story is that if you have items near the back of the fridge, the cold air will be concentrated in certain areas. I did not receive a map of where I can and cannot put food, so I am at a loss as to how to deal with the issues. I would NEVER buy a Whirlpool again.

I love it and hate it. there was water on the floor, and in the cabinet next to refrigerator. The leak was from the tubing in the back of the refrigerator that connects to the ice cube maker. Had the last whirlpool refrigerator for years never had a problem like this I can’t believe that the tubing only lasts for 2 1/2 years. What a mess and it’s been happening probably since installation. I rarely open that cabinet so I did not know that it was wet now it’s moldy. Improper installation or quality one of the other. The ice cube maker is extremely loud and the storage capacity is very small. It also gets frosted up underneath and then the ice cube maker doesn’t work properly. Very poor design. I would much rather have it in the inside of the refrigerator. I love the size of the refrigerator and the black stainless but I would never buy another one with a ice cube maker in the door and probably not whirlpool. The quality has gone way down.

All and all great but constantly problems with the ice dispenser freezing up and not working.

Okay refrigerator. A couple years after purchasing, it still works which has to count for something. It's very loud when making ice and refilling water. Delivery guys damaged the product (and my walls) on the way in but honestly Best Buy's third party installers AND customer service are both collectively so poor that it simply wasn't worth even trying to get this rectified. I don't recommend Geek Squad and in hindsight I would have bought a better refrigerator from someone else.

Just bought another one of these to go in our party room. Best refrigerator ever. What a comfort to have two of them in our home. Makes organizing condiments and food so easy.
