This has a bunch of cycles, and I only use one of them. My biggest pet peeve is that the water shuts off the second you open the lid. I'd rather have my old washer, a bag of parts and the money I spent.

Not what I expected

There is no dispenser to put your laundry soap in. You have to put it in the washer then let it run for a little bit before putting your clothes in. I'm disappointed but it cleans the clothes. Saving for a better washer!

Product defect - poor response from Best Buy

Not even 90 days later the tub came loose from the washer causing clanking and banging during spin cycle - then stops completely. Best Buy refuses to replace defective appliance.

Had to contact Whirlpool and they sent a service rep. out and he fixed it in about a half hour. Hopefully it was a fluke and have no further problems. Verdict still out.

Do not buy this machine!

I thought that since Whirlpool has been around for awhile that this washing machine would be a good one. Notttttttt! This machine took exactly 2 hours to wash 1 load. Then, in the middle of each wash cycle, it would pause a few minutes then continue with the washing. I don't need a machine with all the bells and whistles, just something that washed, rinsed and spinned. Maybe I'm old school but I'm all keeping it simple. So I ended up getting a Speed Queen from another store. Whirlpool, you need to go back to the drawing board.

I know it's supposed to be water efficient but there are times that it doesn't put enough water in to even get my clothes wet. Alot of clothes do not come clean. I'm hoping for it to break down so I have an excuse get different one with center agitator.

Posted .Mcs15, we are sorry you are unhappy with the design of the washer. The Department of Energy standards state how much water any water-based appliances can use, and our washers meet all of their stringent guidelines. We would recommend balling up the clothing similar to the size of a soccer ball, and place around the agitator one at a time. We would also recommend stacking it up so it is around the sides and the agitator plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not fill up past the 2nd to last row of holes in the basket to help avoid overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting. We are sorry that you are unhappy with the design, and can note your concerns.

Died before 2 yrs old
