Washer to be replaced after only 2 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased WTW4815EW (slightly diff model) from Best Buy 2 years ago after reading all of the positive reviews on the washer. Last week the spin cycle stopped working so the washer would not drain. We had a service repair person look at it and the prognosis was a blown transmission with a recommendation of a new washing machine. I called the Whirlpool service center to ask a representative how this could happen after only 2 years. After almost 1 hour waiting on hold, I was able to speak with someone but they could not explain how this could happen. Since I have no idea what the issue is, I cannot recommend this machine and will avoid buying Whirlpool products in the future.

Washer arrived broken.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The washer was broken from the start. It would fill with water in the sensing stage and then switch to wash and completly stop and get stuck on the washing stage. 1 out of 10 washes it would agitate and go through the wash cycle but then going to rinse it would normally get stuck on rinse and stop working completly. Out of the time we had the washer it completed a full cycle 2 times. Im assuming we got a bad egg but still pretty ridiculous upgraded to the 4.3 cabrio top loader, we shall see how it goes.

NOISY ANNOYING DUCK SOUND OVER AND OVER!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had the same experience as the last two reviewers had.I've had this 1 day and did 2 loads and it has this NOISY ANNOYING DUCK SOUND OVER AND OVER! And it always fills the water all the way up even if you just use 2 shirts it still fills all the way up.What a waste of water!Going to exchange this right away for one that's not so insanely noisy and that works properly.

Faulty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First load I ran empty - machine was completely off balanced. Levelled, strengthened floor. Same result. Called Geek Squad who came out and found the bearings to be bad. New one sent. Replacement did the same thing. NOT WORTHY. Returned for an LG which operates fantastic.

Had to return this twice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this washer, after a couple loads it leaked and sprayed oil from the transmission mechanism all over my floor. Set up an exchange tried to use the new one they delivered and it doesn't even work. It is stuck in sensing and locked my cloths inside the washer. I will not be exchanging again. I will purchase a different brand. Not necessarily best buys fault though. this brand needs to recall and correct this problem.

Transmission Issues @ 15 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought our washer on 1/7/18 and last week it started making this awful grind like sound sporadically. I have been told it is likely tansmission problems which can cost almsot as much as a new washer. I’msorry but a $400 wshjer should not stop working at 15 months....at least not a Whirlpool.

Garbage, cheaply made and will not last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Garbage. Cheaply made with lots of plastic parts. I'd be surprised to see this thing last 3 years. Skip it.
