Waste of money!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst washer ever. Not even two years old and second time I’ve had to call for repairs. Washer doesn’t drain, agitator gets all kinds of things caught in it. I’ve used half loads, every cycle, different levels. I use a cleaning solution to keep suds clear. Last repair cost me $300. I’m really angry. Have never had a laundry problem in my lifetime. Don’t buy it!

Does the job
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: It's simple. It has a nice large tub, nothing seems to get caught in the agitator, the deep water setting is sufficient to cover the clothing and the spin cycle leaves the clothes dry enough. The fabric softener cup is removable for cleaning. Pressing the start/pause button unlocks the lid to add a forgotten item. Clothing is clean. Cons: It is quite noisy and the variety of noise (clicks, hums, gears shifting, buzzing with constant monitoring of water level) continues throughout the entire cycle. At no time is this machine quiet. You can not rinse the detergent cup as the lid locks during fill therefore I toss the plastic cup in the wash. There is no sound alert at completion of cycle. Water temperature is limited to one choice throughout the entire cycle. If a warm wash with a cold rinse is desired a timer must be set at about a half hour to be present at the rinse cycle and physically change the water temperature choice. Finding that to be the most disagreeable issue. This is a basic machine that does the job, nothing complicated here. The repair man recommended Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana (they are all made by Whirlpool) as simple and dependable, stating even as the price escalates on machines with more bells and whistles the motor is still one and the same. Also that the bells and whistles tend to be the source of more repair issues. The looks and glass tops of other machines were significantly more appealing however my laundry needs are not that complicated resulting in the decision keep it simple with this basic machine. Considering the added tech issues and maintenance required for the more glamorous machines such as the required testing tech set up customer must preform prior to first use, monthly hot water wash, drying the detergent/ softener cups after use, wiping glass top and leaving it open to prevent mold (yes on a top load machine) all seemed to be more effort than I would be willing to sustain. Machines used to last 20 years, not anymore. Time will tell. My GE lasted 8 with normal use.

So far, so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my new washer! I received it as replacement through my home warranty company. I haven't used it alot yet, but I have tried all different loads. Blankets, delicates, permanent press, and towels. All came out great! Nice and clean and didn't take forever in the dryer (that was the problem with my old whirlpool, it wasn't spinning well and not at all with heavy loads. My mom's washer just went out today and I recommended this model to her.

Slowest machine machine in the world
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the most ridiculous washing machine ever. If you need your clothes or bed sheets done in under 2 hours good luck. This machine takes around 2+ hours to get through one cycle of clothes. You will spend 12 hours a day for 3 loads of laundry without even considering drying. With 3 loads of laundry will take 20 hours. I am just in utter shock how long it takes I have never had a washing machine take 2+ hours for one cycle. For how much inconvenience this machine causes I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

Don't waste your money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this washer in 2019. By 2023 it needed a new control board and 4 months later it now needs to be re-wired and a new motor. This is a piece of junk. I don't recommend buying this. I have to now buy a new washer.

Worse Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worse washer I've ever had. I am 57 and have had a lot of washers. When Best Buy delivered they put a scratch on it. This is the only washer I've had for less than 3 years that had an important part break on it that cost more than buying a new washer. I followed all the instructions, barely put any clothes in it and had a hard time getting the laundry out of it.

total garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My mother bought this about 6 months ago and it bangs all over the place and loud too. Sounds like its going to explode. The warranty and service is also pitiful. They never were able to fix it and you can never get anyone at Whirlpool to take responsibility. Will never buy anything Whirlpool ever again. Buyer beware.
