Called Whirlpool Customer Service about a pump continually running in an 18 mo. $475 cloths washer . The CSR was only interested in selling me a $360 1 yr service contract. She never suggested the most basic reset steps such as unplugging to reboot the computer. I guess there's no commission in rebooting or recalib. Support line should be titles sales add-on. The money will be better spent replacing the unit with another brand.

The first unit delivered wouldn't power up. Many phone calls with Whirlpool agents mansplaining to me how to tell if a circuit breaker is on or off. It was over a week to get a replacement delivered. When I used the agitator, it left a white residue on the clothes. Whirlpool customer service was borderline hostile, insisting I must be using excessive detergent or washing super soiled or high-lint items. Of course, I used the washer as any consumer would - normal clothing and household linens. On the advice of a friend, I ditched the agitator and then the clothes seemed to get clean. Now, 17 months in, it does the same thing other 1-star reviewers have reported - the pump randomly comes on, even when the washer is empty and idle, and it won't drain, spin or start a cycle. It's now out of warranty, and the circuit board it needs plus labor to install come to just shy of $400. Nope! The repair tech said it was the second Whirlpool washer with the same problem he had seen that day, and about the tenth in as many days. I'm replacing it with a Samsung. What a waste.

Have had this washer for roughly two years. The lock mechanism failed and wouldnt unlock. After 30 minutes finally got it to unlock. Know i cant get it to run properly so need to buy a brand new lock assembly

very difficult to learn how to start it! It continually "just senses" the load....finally think I've figured it out. Tried to get an operating manual from Whirlpool and called the Best Buy help line............both like spitting in the wind! Useless!

FIRE HAZARD!!!! and I mean this wash machine is a fire hazard, I come home to this noise in my house to find out it was this wash machine. Wash machine had not been used in 4 days, no one was home, and the W.M. came on by itself, no lights on, no water in the W.M., absolutely, the motor running hot enough to burn up my place. I found out its the mother board $380. plus install $120. Save ur $ buy a better product.

Died after less than 2 years. Bought it for my apartment and used it normally, after about 22 months it started making a draining noise as if it was trying to drain water constantly. Now it doesn’t even let me start a new load and only makes that draining noise. Seems like it’s an issue with the control board which is apparently common with whirlpool from looking up this issue online. Not happy that I spent $500 for a new washing machine that crapped out after a little over a year and a half.

I purchased this in June 2023. After using it twice, the transmission jammed. They would not replace it but repair it. It took two weeks because they had to order the transmission. Now, today, in the final spin, it shuts off, but it sounds like it is still spinning. Resetting by unplugging doesn't help, so now it is down again, and I have to keep it unplugged. Bad experience with this machine.

Goes off balance 60 % of the tim. the lid locks so you can’t open it to stop the spin. You have to either pull the plug or hold the start button if you can to cancel it. Nothing we’ve done has been able to stop this from happening. We’ve reached out to whirlpool and they just say sorry and give us a coupon for a new machine, but we have to buy it through them so we don’t get any sale prices.

Terrible washer. Constantly messes up and kisses cycles. If you put anything more than a simple small load in the spin cycle can’t handle it and stops. Now the locking mechanism won’t work so the washer is basically worthless

Just got this delivered and installers noticed water leaking from under the control panel on first run. Waiting for a replacement, but so far this product isn’t filling me with promise.

The washer stopped spinning after about 1.5 year. It does not handle even medium-sized loads. Do not waste your money on this product.
