The hidden lower element simply means cooking directly on the rack will result in a smoked up kitchen. But 9 months of regular use brought us to a failed unit. Will heat to desired temp then shut off. No troubleshooting advice helped. Calling Best Buy customer service or Whirlpool Customer Care only makes me angry for spending any money with either outfit. My hometown appliance retailer will get my next purchase and it will NOT be Whirlpool.

I HATE this oven!!

First, it has no bottom element and the heat is not conducted properly. If you have 1 item it cooks ok. But if you have multiple items it cannot sustain the heat properly! Second there are glitches in the chipboard so the resetting the timer has sometimes turned off the oven. I’ve had to retrain myself to always make sure it did not turn off the element. My old oven died during the pandemic and I needed something quick. I hate this oven - I HATE this oven!!!!

I found this open package oven at the store and so far it has been working very well. I also purchased the warranty just in case. Got a good deal for it all.

Doors does not stay open. Called warranty and they sent a technician. Told me need new hinges, which he does not have and have to order . The brand new out of the box need new hinges. Did not give me any idea when they will have the hinges available This is not a good start . I am not going to use it till it is replaced . It is not fair to fix something that is 100% new and not even plugged in

This oven is ok, but don’t expect it to last. I keep replacing whirlpool appliances within 2 years, as getting them serviced takes too much time, and not worth the hassle. Hippo is not what is used to be.

Have had for just under a year, tried multiple different types of baking pan materials and nothing cook consistently. Cooking the same item over and over, sometimes it is burned at the shortest time length and other times the middle is still raw. Huge disappointment!

I suggest you train your people so huge mistakes like this do not occur.
