Some one had used something very sharp to cut the protective coating to start removing it and cut into the metal. We returned it and bought one someplace else.

It is truly the bottom of the rung. Besides being cheaply made it lasted all of 15 minutes before the motor started squealing loudly.

My husband installed it in less than an hour (took out old and put in new one). It is SUPER quiet, I was concerned that it was sucking in any air bc it hardly makes a sound, even on high, but it does have good ventilation. My only complaints are that the seams are NOT seamless, meaning that there is a slight gap where the edges meet, I thought it was only on one side, but it's on both, so I'm sure that is how it's made. Also, the switches in the picture appear to be silver, but in actuality they are black. They still look nice, but I ordered this hood on purpose bc the picture shows stainless steel switches.

It doesn't even have enough strength to hold a Kleenex up. It's really bad. If you just want it for decoration it looks good but don't plan on using it. I'm very disappointed. The price should have been a dead give away.

Had I known it was going to be this bad, I would have purchased a more powerful unit. Really disgusted with it
