I really hated this machine . Not only does the water not reach all of the clothes to sufficiently clean them. Also be careful as the machine destroyed to of my brand new down comforters l. The agitator does not really move the clothes to wash them. When you remove the agitator to wash things like comforters it cleans the the bottom of the item and not the top as the max censor does not cover the large item. I found myself having to pause in between the cycles to move the comforters around to ensure each part gets washed . Also expect the spin cycle to shake like the machine is going crazy .

We appreciate you bringing your experience to our attention. We understand that encountering a negative experience with your washer is frustrating. Please review the following professional troubleshooting guidance for optimal cleaning performance.
If you feel the clothes are not cleaning effectively, please ensure the following critical factors are correct: Water Temperature Type and Amount of Detergent Use of Additives Cycle Selection Loading and Sorting of the Clothes Routine Cleaning of the Washer Initial Setup and Installation
Was the washer recently installed?
Before washing your first load, it is recommended to run an empty cycle using HE detergent and the ""Quick Wash"" setting to clean the drum and prepare the dispenser.
Was the correct wash temperature selected, and were the hoses connected correctly? Water Temperature: Use hot or warm washes for fabrics that can safely handle them, following garment care labels. The Casual or Delicate cycle can increase the water level, which helps reduce the chance of dye transfer. Note that even cold wash settings may use some warm water to maintain a minimum temperature. Hose Connection: Verify that the hot water inlet hose is connected to the household hot water supply and the cold water hose is connected to the cold water supply. Reversed hoses can lead to warm rinsing water, which may set wrinkles. Refer to your Installation Instructions for details. Water Supply: Ensure both hot and cold household water faucets are completely turned on for proper fill. Cycle and Settings Selection
Cycle selection is essential, as each is an optimized combination of agitation/tumbling speed, spin speed, and water temperature, tailored to fabric type and soil level. TEMPERATURE: Select a wash temperature based on fabric and soil level, using the warmest setting safe for your fabric. SOIL LEVEL (Wash Time): Select a setting (Light, Extra Heavy, or Extra Power) that matches your load's soil level. Lighter settings can help reduce tangling and wrinkling. SPIN SPEED: The washer automatically selects a spin speed based on the cycle. Faster spin speeds shorten dry times but may increase wrinkling. Not all speeds are available on all cycles. https://youtu.be/cvDY5e-HL8M Detergent and Additives
Are you using HE or High-Efficiency Detergent? Use only HE detergent and always measure the correct amount. Excess suds from non-HE detergent or over-dosing HE detergent can cause poor cleaning performance, reduced spin speed, and error codes. Follow the detergent manufacturer's dosage amount based on concentration (e.g., 2x, 4x, 8x), soil level, and load size. Larger detergent pacs should only be used for large or heavily soiled loads. Whirlpool recommends using Swash® laundry detergent. (https://www.whirlpool.com/accessories/laundry-accessories/swash.html) https://youtu.be/MiKxZ5WIJ0E Were Laundry Additives used? Fabric Softener: Measure the softener and dilute it before adding it to the rinse portion of a cycle only. Adding it to the wash water or using too much, especially on smaller loads, can cause staining or discoloration. Liquid Chlorine Bleach: Follow manufacturer directions. Undiluted bleach will damage fabric. Always measure; do not exceed the recommended amount for a full load. Loading and Sorting
Were the clothes properly loaded?
For proper cleaning, items must move freely. Reduce load size if necessary. Load items in loose heaps evenly around the washplate. Sorting: Separate dark items from lights and whites to prevent dye transfer, which can cause a dingy appearance. https://youtu.be/FE9JskuMrm0 Routine Maintenance
Have you run a Clean Washer Cycle?
If you notice poor cleaning or lower water levels, run a Clean Washer cycle. This re-calibrates the control to factory-set water levels and should be run approximately once per month with affresh® Washer Cleaner (https://www.whirlpool.com/results.html?term=affresh) to prevent build-up. https://youtu.be/D13IsbMAMowFurther Assistance

Review is for installation, they charged me $90 saying I needed new hoses and a day later I come into the laundry area and see tons of water and damage to our flooring. I run my hand near the valve and hose connection and feel tons of water. Been leaking for two days. Have video only before I tightened the connections and will be seeking legal assistance for repairs

I was looking forward to having this new washer with the removable agitator; however, this model is engineered to start scrubbing without sufficient water. Even on the delicate cycle, it put a hole in my clothes. I don’t know why it is even labeled with different water levels, because it barely fills regardless of what level you select or the volume of clothes. I tried to trick the sensor by adding water to the clothes first, but it didn’t make a difference…and because I didn’t want to use weighted magnets or make some other kind of modification, I am returning it. So disappointing.

After four weeks the machine broke down. I went to Best Buy for the warranty, and they told me I had to call Whirlpool. Then I had to call a third party called Goodman, and my machine is still broken. Terrible service, today is 12/19/25

We value your time and would like to look into the concerns with your Washer. If clothes aren't cleaning properly, check these common factors for optimal wash performance: Water Temperature: Select the correct temperature for the fabric and soil. Detergent: Use only the correct type and amount of HE (High-Efficiency) detergent. Additives: Measure fabric softener and bleach precisely and use at the correct time. Cycle Selection: Choose the appropriate cycle for the load. Loading: Avoid overloading and sort laundry by color. Washer Maintenance: Run a routine Clean Washer cycle. Cycle and Settings Washing cycles optimize agitation/tumbling speed, spin speed, and water temperature. Temperature: Select based on fabric and soil, adhering to labels. Modern HE warm/hot settings may be cooler. A small amount of warm water is added to "Cold" wash for detergent activation. Soil Level: Adjusts wash time (agitation duration). Use Extra Heavy or Extra Power for heavily soiled items and Light for lightly soiled clothes to minimize wrinkling. Spin Speed: Faster speeds reduce drying time but increase wrinkling. Slower speeds reduce wrinkling but require longer drying. Consult the Cycle Guide for details. Detergent Use only HE detergent. It binds to soil and softens water. Dosage: Always measure according to the manufacturer's directions based on soil and load size. Use less for soft water. Overuse: Excessive or non-HE detergent creates suds that hinder cleaning, reduce spin speed, and can cause error codes. Concentrations: Follow the manufacturer's dosage chart for 2x, 4x, or 8x concentrations. Use larger detergent pacs only for exceptionally large or heavily soiled loads. Whirlpool recommends Swash® detergent. Loading and Sorting Clothes need free movement for effective soil removal. Load Size: Reduce load size if items are densely packed. Load items in loose, evenly distributed heaps. Sorting: Separate dark colors from lights and whites to prevent dye transfer, which can make lighter clothes appear dingy. Maintenance Run the Clean Washer cycle about once per month with an appliance cleaner (e.g., affresh®). This cycle re-calibrates the water levels to factory settings and removes detergent/softener residue that can affect performance. If you need additional assistance, please reach out to us directly via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/whirlpoolusa/ or Instagram https://www.instagram.com/whirlpoolusa/. We hope this helps.
