What a piece of JUNK.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this washer in April of 2017 and I have had to Have it repaired so many times that Geek Squad canceled my service contract. I paid for five years of service and they canceled it after 2 1/2 years. Best buy will not help me with this situation at all knowing that I was sold a lemon of a washing machine. Did you know that they can cancel your service contract at any time they feel like it? I would think twice about buying anything from Best Buy if I were you.

First one had issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They just replaced the first one that stopped spinning. Gets the clothes clean okay. Not overly impressed for the price of the product to have it break down within 2 weeks.

Great washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought another Whirlpool washer after having my last Whirlpool for over 20 years. Supposedly they are manufactured in the USA. I have had mine for over a month and no problems. My clothes come out so dry after going through the spin cycle. It uses less water and is very quiet except for the spin cycle. You can put larger loads in & the machine handles it well. I'm really satisfied with my purchase@ Best Buy!

still washing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought open box. Had some scratches but didn't care since laundry room in garage. So far working good. A little noisier when it starts up but since in garage I don't really care. Some parts seem a little more plastic. Will wait for durability. Have had durability issues with 2 leading japanese companies. Wanted to try Whirlpool. They sell less but seems to have good reviews

Great products, but a bit noisy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaces a well worn 29 year old Whirlpool super capacity toploader and dryer. We bought the matching washer dryer set and stuck with Whirlpool due to personal experience with multiple appliances over the years. While I sadly don't expect to get the same service out of these new units, I am hopeful for a good overall experience. We do love this washer and matching dryer's capacity and efficiency at how the do their tasks. One area, though, that needs improvement is noise suppression. Both the washer and dryer are quite a bit noisier than their older counterparts. Other than that, zero complaints thus far.

Excellent Washer and Dryer Combo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first front loading washer/dryer combo was a Whirlpool Duet purchased back in Oct of 2005. The washer just broke down last week when the shock absorbers and bearing quit. The dryer was still working. We've decided to buy another set, after all 12 plus years of service is not bad for a front loading washer. BTW, only 2 problems surfaced during those times, a tear on the rubber bellows (due to overloading causing a sock to rub) on it's 8th year and a leaking pump discharge gasket on it's 11th year. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with either Maytag and Kenmore either since they come from the same factory. We just stuck with Whirlpool and these models due to the right amount of features and pricing. Salesperson (Dion) at Chesapeake branch was excellent all the way including the Geek Squad appliance delivery team of John and Brad.

Good Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this washer for 5 years and it has worked fine. I am only getting water leakage after 5 years which deems to be reasonable after 5 years of ownership and this is fair.

Good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this washer to replace a more expensive GE washer that was leaking. This washer cleans well and the quick wash cycle does a good job in just 24 to 28 minutes. The clothes and sheets get more tangled up in this washer and the fastest spin cycle doesn't get enough water out of the clothes compared to the GE. It's tolerable for the price but you might want to spend a little more to get better quality. Oh and yes the buttons are super sensitive to the touch so if you even brush up against it, the machine will pause and you have to press start again.

Do not buy this if you need a quiet unit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not the Whirlpool of old. Replaced twelve year old Duets with this machine and matching dryer. They were worn out but quieter. Looks nice - washes and spins in balance okay BUT.... When filling with water, you can hear it 5 rooms away, sounds like a fire hose. When spinning, direct drive transmission sounds like a jet engine winding up. Almost worse when winding down from spin cycle, there is an extremely high pitched whine. Cannot tell what part of the cycle is running, no indicator for that. Annoying. Front 'touch' control panel is sooooooooo sensitive simply dragging clothing over panel can change settings. This is important if you fold clothes using the top of the machine. You can however lock the panel during wash to prevent this. Matching dryer does not have a drum light. I wish someone would have warned me about the noise before I tried this out. Returned to place purchased (not Best Buy) which was a huge hassle. Then got a Samsung front loader from Best Buy, so far so good.

Poor choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washer delivered on a Tuesday. 3 loads done that day. Next day started another load and system errors started blinking. Could not correct the problem nor open the door to get clothes out. Best Buy immediately ordered a new one. Replacement washer delivered following Tuesday. Still never got clothes out of first one. Very impressed with appliance service at Best Buy - from salesperson to delivery staff.

The worst!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had issues with this machine soon after I bought it and it was too late to return. At first kept showing an error message in the middle of the normal cycle, then it was fixed. Second time, error during the heavy duty cycle, that was fixed. Same error again. You got me this time Whirlpool, NEVER EVER again!!!!

Clanking Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm definitely returning this washer! It is SO noisy! Clacking and clanging, spewing and knocking during the entire wash cycle!! During the spin cycle there is a whistling noise that completes the symphony! I replaced my quiet,12 year old LG after the bearings went out. Some appliance repair services don't work on LG so I thought I'd try Whirlpool. By the sounds of this machine it will implode next week!

Won’t buy Whirlpool again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My washer was 9 months old when it stopped working. It should be covered by the Whirlpool warranty, but I’m Still waiting for whirlpool to stand behind their product. Whirlpool sends the wrong parts, or refurbished parts that do not work. I have been without a working washer for almost 2 months.
