Because the washer requires the lid to lock at the start of a cycle to operate, the machine is now completely non-functional. I didn't think to call Best Buy to ask for a refund; instead, I contacted Whirlpool's manufacturer's warranty. By the time I thought to contact Best Buy, the 30-day return policy had already expired. I'm in contact with Whirlpool to have the issue repaired. Whirlpool gives you a 1-year manufacturer's warranty. I purchased the extended warranty in case this should happen again. I wouldn't think a washer would be non-functional in less than a month. Very disappointing!

Powder soap sticks if you do not add soap first 2. Cannot fill up (full capacity) the washer if you want it to clean clothing All in all not my favorite.
