    After three weeks of owning the washer we closed the lid and heard a rattle, I opened the lid and noticed the latch had broken off when I closed it. With the lock broken it thinks the lid is broke and you can't do laundry. Spent hours on hold with Whirlpool to get someone out, and had to wait about a week for someone. The repairman told me that this is going to be a problem, as he has about four of these work orders right now for these washing machines.

    I do not recommend this washer. My whirlpool cabrio platinum broke down so I thought maybe this washer would be a close enough match to my dryer. It has a very low back so it does not cover up the water hoses. I returned the 1st one and now returning the replacement. The Load and Go dispenser is a joke. It did not work on either machine. Plus both of the washers smelled like a greased up machine. They both had mechanical smell. When I called Whirlpool about the issues they just read from the manual. Best Buy sent out a couple of repairmen but I knew more about the washer than they did. So now I am shopping again for another washer.
