Customers are delighted by the Cabrio washer's large capacity, which easily accommodates items like king-size comforters. The machine is praised for its quiet operation and effective cleaning performance, with many users noting its ease of use and appealing design. While some users mentioned that the spin cycle could be improved, the positive feedback on capacity, noise level, and cleaning ability outweighs this concern. The overall experience is described as positive and efficient.

We have been using this product for about a month now and it works very well and very quietly. This washer is big enough to handle any size blankets or comforters and is very easy to use. I also must really commend the 2 gentlemen sent out to do the install. They were both very personable and professional and were very cautious in bringing in the new washer. I also read in another review that this washer did not qualify for the energy savings rebate. I am a little surprised because it did for my supplier.

Let me start off my saying that I have been a Whirlpool customer and fan for many years. This was my third Whirlpool washer and dryer set. I moved to this top load design from a from load, due to some space constraints in the laundry room of my new home.
I have had this washer for about 3 months now and I keep hoping that I can do something to make me like it more. Overall I am just disappointed in the design. The clothes consistently come out a tangled mess, which ultimately leaves wrinkles, even after drying them. Clothes often come out with dry spots, which tells me that they didn't even make it under water. I have tried many settings, read the manual several times and loaded it with more and less articles, but nothing really seems to help much. I have come to the conclusion that this is just a bad design. This is my first HE top load, so I cannot compare to other brands, but if this is how they leave your clothes, then I will steer clear in the future. I doubt that I will keep this washer in the long term.

Great, overall rating. It's a bit noisy, although it states that its suppose to be quite (the noise only bothers myself). I have to remove points for not delivering on what is advertised.
We upgraded from a smaller (most washers are smaller compared to this) washer and laundry is now two loads in stead of six to ten loads.
As long as you aren't bothered by the low range "grumble" it's a great washer.

This washer does not clean clothes. We have tried different methods suggested by Whirlpool. We have tried separating laundry loads as suggested, etc..
My wife and I have even stood with a flashlight and watched the wash cycle while it just shifted clothes back and forth without washing them. I have had loads come out completely wet with no way to force an extra spin cycle without another full wash.
We have had the repair guys out and in the long run nothing helped.
To make matters worse Best Buy credit card erroneously marked or credit as being 30 to 60 days late erroneously. This battle has just begun but initially they are telling us that they sent us a bill and it's not their fault that I didn't get it. I'm new to the area and I am beyond upset. Terrible product, terrible service, terrible credit card, unless they fix everything never again Best Buy.

This is the worst washer we have bought. Purchased in April 2015. Now it's August 2015 and we have had multiple issues with it. 1st - It leaves oily stains on clothes. The detergent tray will occasionally empty the fabric softener on the clothes, having to double on fabric softener because of this issue. It does not spin correctly, leaving clothes damp, even if the setting is on high spin. Have to have the 'deep water' setting every time because every other setting does not allow for clothes to be cleaned, taking away from the 'energy efficient' rating. It is absolutely worse than our 1980 washer we just tossed because we wanted to upgrade. Biggest mistake, ever! We have lost 1 expensive set of sheets and a few clothing items because of the oily stains. SAVE YOUR CLOTHES! DO NOT BUY!!!

This is an awful machine. No agitator + top load design = no clean clothes. If you use Downy Unstoppables fabric softener beads (my wife loves them), forget this machine. The beads do not melt, even on the steam cycle - the lint filter in our dryer is full of them.
The capacity on this thing is impressive, sadly due to this, my 5'2" wife has to use a step stool to reach the clothes at the bottom of the drum. I am 5'10" and have to really stretch. No matter about the capacity though because it doesn't wash very good at all. You can shine a flashlight through it's glass lid and watch the wash cycle. You can watch the same pair of socks simply lay on the top, and they stay there - remember there is no agitator to speak of.

This machine is absolute garbage!

I bought this machine and it's matching dryer in mid-July. By two months, it stopped working. Now--nearly 5 weeks and 6 trips by the repairman later--it is STILL not repaired. I am absolutely disgusted by the poor customer service at Whirlpool and their contracted appliance repair companies. You would think that when a company sells you a problem machine, they would replace it; however, it "will be repaired until it is deemed not-repairable." Keep in mind that this may take weeks to months, while you're hand washing loads of laundry or taking everything to the laundromat. I would gladly take my old Kenmore over this set any day!

Having issues already

I bought this washer & dryer set 3 months ago and I keep having ongoing issues! Firstly, the wash always comes out with soap residue left on the clothes. I have had several garmets where the residue actually stained the clothing! At first I thought maybe I was putting too much soap in, but I have tried to cut back and nothing seems to work! I have actually read this in other bad reviews before I bought the set and I should've listened! Also, the washer tub is VERY deep, so being 5'3" it's hard to pick up small things at the very bottom, I literally have to stand on my tippy toes. The clothes also come out all wrangled up, which hasn't been a huge issue for me, but according to other reviewers it seems to be a problem. I called Whirlpool and a serviceman is supposed to come out and take a look at the washer. I'm not too optimistic that he's going to "fix" the issue, I think it's just a poor design!

I bought this washer and dryer set in July 2016 and the washer started acting up 4 weeks ago. First the machine did not complete the spin cycle then the endless load do to the timer repeatedly adding additional time to finish followed by the sense and end without wasting load. Went through the Whirlpool warranty and they replaced the controller a little more than a week ago I got in 3 loads and now back to the sense and end cycle.
Very disappointing for such a pricey item...nothing but regret for this buyer.

Wish I would have researched this washer more before buying. Instead, I bought it because of its capacity and price, but that's about the only good thing about it. Clothes do not get clean and end up coming out of the wash with residue on them. Have to wash again to clean them from being "cleaned" the first time. Waste of time and money.

Washer worked great until last month. Error codes started popping up and the washer would stop mid-cycle. Called for repair the first time, and the service tech clear the error codes and the washer worked for one more month. Just a few days ago, the same error codes and problems started again. Service tech now says that the main control board AND main console need replaced. Total cost for parts and service is more than the cost of a new washer.
We are just a regular family of 4 with normal laundry demands. I know appliances aren’t made like they used to be, but in my opinion, they should last more than 3 years. I’m very disappointed in whirlpool and will not be purchasing from this brand again.

Two of these washing machines broke within less that 3 years each.
Also the the Geek Squad is a Joke.
On the first machine the drum went bad and Best Buy was slow on replacing the machine. When the 2nd machine broke the Geek Squad came out 3 times and 30 days before finally admitting that it would cost too much to repair the washer.
I would admit that Best Buy did not hesitate to honor the warranty and exchanged the machines. I have to add though that I would not purchase any item from Best Buy where I have to depend on them for in-home repair service because their service is awfully slow.

As time went on, the washer made a howling noise on the spin cycle. We called for repair and the service tech found that the bearing on the tub was worn out. We ordered the replacement part and when the tech returned, he could not get the machine apart to replace the bearing. The entire unit was seized together and it would cost more than a new washer to fix. We have a family of 4 and don't have a huge laundry demand. This means kids don't play sports, two office workers so the dirty clothes was on the lighter side of most.
I realize appliances aren't made like they used to be but they also shouldn't be disposable. They should be able to be repaired for a reasonable cost.

We bought this machine 3 years ago thinking we should pay more to get something that would last. Unfortunately it worked well for 2.5 years then started making loud noises and not cleaning well. The warranty was only for 1 year so we are SOL. Very frustrating. Even more so because nobody answers the Whirlpool service phone. We're never buying Whirlpool again.
