Has been frozen since the first 4 hours of use

The instructions mention an auto defrost - doesn’t happen. The compressor continues running no matter what. For what it’s worth it while it was on it was quite impressive in dropping the humidity but it took 4 hours to freeze. It’s been frozen since no matter what. I placed it in a basement and average temp has been 65-67 F. It’s fairly quiet however and I really wish it worked but this is incredibly annoying and I’m returning it.

Would not be acceptable in a living space. Maybe I can get an exchange.

Works well, basement dehumidifier

Whirlpool Dehumidifier
