The best of times the worst of times......

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased the Whirlpool washer and dryer, from a well informed salesperson who did all of the right things to make our purchase a success. We were pleased with the purchase until the delivery and install team arrived. Best Buy uses a number of third party delivery and installers, Without any notice our delivery appeared at 7:44 am on Tuesday morning unannounced, a cell phone call announced there arrival..."we are here" was the first time we heard from them. Their installer came in looked over the area where our present washer and dryer were and announced that he could not install them, his contention was that the vent that we had purchased with our new dryer could not be used...I bought it from BB with the dryer...he was indignant and it was obvious that he didn't want to be there. I continued to press to get it installed however he continued to reiterate that he didn't want to be liable for any problem. Frustrated, he left leaving the washer uncartoned in the garage. I called our plumber he came by and installed the dryer in 10 minutes. After a number of calls to BB customer service we were able to get the washer installed the next day by a different and very accommodating install team. If you are going to purchase from BB, be sure to investigate WHO is going to do the install and get a guarantee of their delivery and install. BB needs to do a better job selecting their third party install and delivery service, this should not have happened we were very pleased with the BB side of the purchase unfortunately the delivery and install was a service nightmare.

Whirlpool dryer noisy

I hear two sounds; the motor humming and then another noise I can’t seem to identify. I would think a brand new machine would run quietly. Overall, disappointed.
