Our old gas Whirlpool dryer finally expired after 20 years. I was set on getting another gas dryer, but the $140 installation + the additional $100 cost to buy a gas unit gave me pause. They had this open box electric unit for $309.00. Since we only need it for a year or two at the most, I decided to go with this dryer. Same controls as the dryer we replaced. My wife said it drys considerably quicker than the old gas dryer. It does put out a lot of heat even on low. My wife is happy with this dryer.

Great dryer. Quiet and works well. We debated between this one and Insignia. Very happy with our purchase.

I have to admit the dryer works pretty well. My only issue is a rattling noise it starts to make about 5 minutes into the cycle. Since it was under warranty I decided to have a technician look at it. I was told the noise is a "normal sound from (the) idler". FYI, I've owned and rented several dryers, and never had this type issue. When I called Whirlpool to discuss my displeasure with the answer I got from the service technician, I was just basically shined on by the customer support person. I wish I had spent a few extra bucks for a better dryer.

We have had the dryer for almost 6years it done well for the first 2&1/2 years but sense then we have had to change the belt 4 times the belt pulley twice and now the motor pulley.

I shopped around and best did have the best price. Dryer was delivered but forgot to purchase the power cord. But other than that was a great buy

We bought our whirlpool Cabrio dryer about two years ago and seemed like a nice dryer up to a week ago when the idler pulley locked up and burned up the belt. When I tried to go into it to fix it it was very difficult to get into we wound up replacing it with an LG dryer. I am truly disappointed with Whirlpool appliances when we build our new home we furnished it with Whirlpool appliances going by the reputation of the older ones we were sadly mistaken we've been in our home now 10 years and we've already replaced all the appliances that was Whirlpool due to them not holding up and just breaking their quality has went down hill and I would not recommend Whirlpool appliances

Bought this today to replace our broken dryer, & disappointed doesn't even cover it. It took 2 cycles of 60 minutes on the highest temp setting to get my clothes dry (some were STILL wet). Towels have taken double that & are still damp. My old dryer was very old & breaking down & it wasn't this awful. Also, it's much, much louder than I'm used to. I would NOT recommend.

Bought this as a combo with the washer. I have always regarded Whirlpool has quality items and the made in America sticker doesn’t hurt either. About two months ago I put in a load to dry on the timed dry cycle for 30 minutes. I was busy with other household chores and when I finished went to get my laundry ( almost an hour later) I discovered the dryer had not shut off and the timer hadn’t moved from it’s 30 minute mark I placed it at. I reached out to Best Buy where we purchased the item and found out since it was outside the 1 YEAR parts warranty (BY 3 MONTHS) I would have to diagnose and fix the issue myself. We did not purchase the extended warranty due to the fact that the previous unit we owned had lasted almost 15 years and worked like a charm but had fallen ill to the same issue. To purchase a brand new unit and have it go bad in just over a year was very disappointing. I expected better but should have known. Lesson learned I will not purchase another Whirlpool appliance moving forward. I think it’s ridiculous they don’t offer support for a household appliance for more than 1 year. It just doesn’t set a good “We stand behind our products” feeling.

I wouldn’t recommend. When drying clothes, it gets the job done. However towels, blankets & comforters? You MUST do 3-4 dry cycles because if you don’t, your towels/blankets will smell “musty” & you will need to re-wash

This dryer is average nothing special but a good product for the price.

Looked at many brands, this one was the best value for the name. Couldn't beat the warranty

This is a nice product from whirlpool and we are really enjoying it.

In less than two years we have had to replace a worn out "seal" on the door which started fraying and leaving metal threads in the clothes and the door handle. I'd expect better quality from Whirlpool.

Our old dryer finally met it's demise, I searched to try to find a reasonable priced dryer only to find that the dryer constantly shuts off, I also haven't been able to multitask and use the washer as I'm drying items. I've grown terribly frustrated so hopefully I'll be able to troubleshoot the issue and have it resolved. The size is great although must say, I wish it was more energy efficient.

I don't look for a lot of extra features on a dryer. I just want something that dries my clothes & tumbles them for a while if I'm not around to take them out right away. This dryer had that. However, it was rare that when the dryer stopped that the clothes were completely dry. 99% of the time I needed to turn the dryer back on to finish drying them. The reason I gave it a one star is simply because it didn't even last 3 years before it died. I talked to a repairman on the phone & from my description, he knew one part that needed replacing. That would cost almost $200. He would have to diagnose the second part needed & couldn't tell me if it was an inexpensive part or another expensive part. Given that information, we junked this dryer & bought a new one. I know appliances aren't made to last anymore, but 2 years is ridiculous.
