First set was used and this set was still working but we gifted to a young family and bought us a new set

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We picked this unit out as a replacement for the LG DLE7100W as the control board went out and unfortunately, it was basically the same price to purchase a new unit. In comparison, this Whirlpool unit has been lacking in several key areas. Functionality wise, the narrow door (vertical) is not as easy to access especially with small items like kid clothes and socks when the are in the back. Additionally, the latch at the top of the door was prone to snagging both clothes and hands. This resulted in both torn clothes and cuts when loading the dryer. The dry ability is also somewhat suspect in having to run repeated cycles and extend the drying time. The final seal for the low rating is the lack of ability to exhaust. It would repeatedly through an error code. I can confirm that the vent line is clear as it was cleaned multiple times and blown out. Unless your vent line is a very shot run, I would do not recommend for this reason alone. Additionally feedback is that the lint trap on top creates a huge mess and constantly required vacuuming to keep the top of the dryer clean.

Looks very well made. Delivery crew was very attentive to detail. Tested everything in front of us, and disposed of all the boxes and wrappings.
