    The dryer works fine but my clothes were covered in lint. The heat is at least twice as hot as my last one. On medium heat I could not touch the clothes coming out. Hotter than my last dryer on high. I'm worried about shrinkage so I'll be using low heat on everything and paying twice as much for gas. I've never had a dryer that has done that. No way to get rid of the lint other than to lint roll an entire load of clothes. The worst part was the botched install. I told them to place the dryer in the left because that's where the gas inlet is. They installed it on the right in front of the water lines. I did not get the coated gas line I was forced to order (would help with the possibility of water dripping in it) and it was way too long so it was kinked from having to go behind the washer, the drain pipe for the washer and the dryer vent they had installed incorrectly. The water lines are passing directly over the gas inlet valve, another potential problem. The dryer vent they installed has splits in it, they connected two straight pieces with an elbow, thus the vent was shaped like an "s" and they destroyed the new venting system I installed yesterday. The vent was also smashed so it impeded air flow. I can't get the install charge reversed because it was "installed" even though I had to redo the entire installation over myself. I also am not going to be compensated for my time, trouble or any of the parts I purchased for the new vent system. I was advised to take the hoses, gas line and venting back to the store where I made my purchase. I never went to the store. This was an online purchase. I'll take it all back to the store and if I don't get a full refund and some sort of compensation for my expenses I will have the whole order picked up and start over somewhere else. Worst customer service ever. I'm also canceling the extended warranties (that's where they make their money). If they can't do an install they certainly can't repair anything. Plus having to wait several days to correct a botched job is unacceptable. My time is worth at least minimum wage and I spent at least two hours fixing the mess they left plus my expenses on the vent. I would recommend the brand, whirlpool makes good appliances but install them yourself or get a professional to install them. The people who do the deliveries are far from professionals.

    A great dryer

    I ordered this gas dryer from bestbuy because it was in stock locally and they could get it to me fast. It turned out to be a great dryer with just the necessary features I was looking for. Auto dry setting, 90 extra minutes of tumbling, and temperature control. The features don't do justice on the online specs. It's a great dryer. Don't forget to get a new dryer gas connection. The gas black pipe line is around 8 inches from the left rear. This is helpful because you'll lose space if you don't factor it into your installation.

    Want more features, buy a more expensive dryer that will cost more to maintain. Want a solid no-frills dryer that will last a good long time and not have much in terms of maintenance: get this one.

    Basic Dryer That Does a Good Job

    This dryer is very similar to the Whirlpool it replaced after 13 years. I've had this dryer one month, and so far it's done a great job of simply drying the clothes. It's a basic dryer that does the job it was designed to do and is easy to use, no complications and no problems. The installation team was efficient, in and out in 15 minutes.

    Beware of Disclaimers

    Ordered open box item online that stated “Excellent” condition. Before heading to the store, that was 25 miles one way from my location, I called the store number directly to get the dimension of the actual box to see if it would fit in my SUV. The call was rerouted to a call center. Nice representative of course working from home, didn’t seem to mind doing her job or rush you off the phone. I was leery at first, as I thought she was looking at the actual dimension of the item listed on the website. Which would have done no good as the “BOX” would be a slight difference in size. The problem with the call being rerouted to a call center there was not an actual person seeing the merchandise firsthand. I could have been informed the BIG item purchased, a major appliance, was A. not in a box. B. Scratched. C. Dented. Whomever at their Geek Squad Certified Process that identified the major appliance in “Excellent” condition mislead the customer BIG TIME. Regardless of the Disclaimers. This was a horrible experience, a waste of my time, mileage, gas, and tradesman waiting at the house to-do the install. The associates assisting me in the back of the store with the merchandise got on his microphone informing the General Manager of the situation. I was directed to meet him at the front of the store. He apologized that the description was not accurate. Introduces me to Diana that worked in appliances. Suggested I look at other floor models on-hand in satisfactory or fair condition. Provides me with information to visit the outlet store in Willowbrook. Instead of suggesting a new item with a minimal discount or free delivery to make-up for the inconvenience he did no such thing. My expectations with customer service failed and took my business elsewhere where I bought new.

    Whirlpool dryer

    This gas dryer literally takes 6 or 7 times to dry clothes...Its supposed to be high effieciency and drys the clothing once...I have even put half a load in and its still 6 or 7 times.

    Didn't Last Long

    Makes way too much noise, gets extremely hot and is now putting small holes in all of our clothes. The dryer is only three years old and already needs to be repaired!
