    This dryer seems to be a bit less complicated than the matching washer. Once the machine starts spinning, nothing changes until it stops spinning. The controls sort of match the language of the washing machine. The dryer is 29” wide, wider than the traditional 27” older models. The distance from the back of the unit to the wall is 6” or more, depending on the venting options used. Like the washer, it has a sloping top. The lint filter is located on the top of the unit, not inside the door. When the lint filter is removed, some lint and dust fall from filter onto the top of the dryer, an annoyance that could have been avoided. The interior of the dryer is large and has an internal light bulb. During operation, it is easy to open the door to remove items, then press the start/pause button to resume. Again, those annoying video game noises. Would I purchase these machines after using them for a month? Not sure. I’m not disappointed, just getting used to a jump in technology that I am not sure was necessary. I would recommend buying these appliances from Best Buy. After comparative shopping, I discovered that Best Buy had the best prices, price matching, free delivery, hook up, and haul away of old appliances. The delivery was on time, and professionally done. Another major appliance store wanted $125 to hook up the gas dryer!

    This dryer was very sensitive sometimes the clothes didn't dry all the way because of the temperature sensor. The electrical display was complicated.

    Don’t buy. GS support plans not honored by BB

    Died in under two years and the “Geek squad” protection plan won’t cover this. Never buy from best buy again. A complete dam joke that Best Buy will not honor their own BS support plan for a shyt product. Go and look somewhere else

    Cabrio Gas Dryer

    This is my first gas dryer and I have to say it's wonderful. Dries a full heavy duty load quickly, seems faster than my older model Cabrio electric dryer which always needed an extra 20 minutes no matter what. So far this new gas dryer is good and has the same musical alert tones as the washing machine. Updated controls are a plus!

    Unusable top surface!

    Having a Whirlpool Cabrio washer I'm very happy with, the dryer has been very disappointing! The top surface, although it appears flat in the photo, is slanted forward, making it impossible to use for storing laundry supplies, and that's a huge inconvenience, and a design feature I really don't understand! It's also noisier than our previous dryer, and all the parts seem cheaper and flimsier. For example, the lint filter which used to be mostly metal is now plastic, and feels like something that I'll have to replace way before I should have to!

    Very disappointed with our purchase. Short lifespan! After 4 years, the gas dryer failed to heat, requiring replacement (at our cost) of the igniter. A year later, heating again failed and entire gas burner unit was determined defective. Further repair economically foolish due to cost of repairs v new dryer. Very modest/light amount of use by my wife and me.

    Died after 4 years

    Should have bought the extended warranty. But at 4 years, it very could have died right at 5 years. These things used to last until they are an eyesore. The kicker is that the same model costs $150 more than when I bought it 4 years ago.
