I chose Whirlpool brand because I had a great experience with my previous two sets of washers and dryers (each working efficiently and lasting 7 years of daily use.) The washer has been working as expected but this dryer takes 2-3 cycles to dry clothes and 2-3 days of endless cycles to dry towels. We have tried every cycle, including "Towels", "Heavy Duty" and "Bulky Items". We empty the lint trap after every cycle and even had the dryer vent duct cleaned to see if that would resolve the issue (we live in a newer construction home so that was not the issue). Our clothes and towels smell bad by the time they're done drying. I appreciate the the front door is pull down instead of side swing which was one of the reasons I picked this set. I do not appreciate the design flawed top slope as there is no working space to fold and store laundry.. Although I end up hanging the majority of the clothes anyway because the dryer doesn't do what it's supposed to do by the time I have to put in another load. I can't wait until another 7 years are up and I can justify to myself buying another washer and dryer set. I can assure you it will not be Whirlpool brand.
