Unhappy w/ installation.Wrong material to connect.

However when he installed it it is not flush with the washer. He stated that if he pushes it back the metal hose would break. Wrong material it should have been a flexible hose instead of metal. My previous dryer had a flexible hose. I fear that when dryer is operated & it’s close to the garage wall it may be a fire hazard. Not happy at all & wish to return asap. For that reason have not used/operated it.

It's on the Best Buy installer. There was a telescoping dryer vent hook-up to allow almost flush against wall installation. The installer put a very long piece of 4" flex hose and had the dryer (and washer) set about 8" off the wall! Ridiculous! The installer clearly didn't know/care what they were doing.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this dryer April 25, 2024 and it was delivered April 27, 2024. I am very disappointed. First the "Sensor" does not do a very good job of sensing when the clothes are dry because socks come out damp, the waist bands of pants are damp but the legs are dry. Only the "Normal" cycle seems to attempt to dry the clothes any other cycle and the clothes are soaking wet even after an hour of tumbling. The end of cycle signal is so faint you must be standing right next to the dryer to hear it! The top is also bubbled up so you can't set anything on it or it will slide right off. I want my old GE Dryer back! I am so frustrated! I thought Whirlpool was supposed to be a good company with good products! This is the second review I have sent and I am being ignored! I spent a total of 753.32 and boy am I mad. I bought it through BestBuy and they only gave me 12 days to return so I missed that window.
