Broke after 7 months

Whirlpool is impossible to get ahold of, the local company they work with never has availability. It’s been 3 weeks without a working dryer. Best Buy wants to charge me to fix my brand new dryer. I do not recommend buying whirlpool.

AWFUL! Nothing but issues....

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this dryer along with the matching washing machine in May 2019 after our 10+ year old Whirlpool Duet HT washer broke. We decided to purchase Whirlpool again since we never had problems until the end with our previous set. This dryer has given us nothing but issues since about a month of owning it. I was out of my 14 day return period that Best Buy gives and they referred me to Whirlpool who then sent out a technician to do a warranty repair. The first technician came but did not diagnose any issues with it . The issue we were having was that the control panel would not work half the time and the clothes were not drying when we used any of the presets on the bottom row. Also, it would cut off after 2-3 minutes and the clothes would be left sitting wet in the dryer. The ONLY way to get the clothes to dry is to use the timed dry cycle or the quick dry cycle so you can manually set the time and temp yourself. The dryer is also VERY LOUD. A second technician was sent out by Whirlpool and he quickly determined that the dryer needed at least four new parts. After his visit, some things were fixed but the dryer was still not drying with the presets. He then ordered MORE parts. Long story short after changing SEVEN parts in a basically new dryer it's still not functioning properly. It now sounds like a creaky old car because it's been taken apart so many times. I have spent so much time on the phone with Whirlpool and having the service guy come to do repairs. Whirlpool refuses to replace my dryer and continues to say they have to send someone out to FIX it b/c their warranty is a REPAIR warranty only. In a nutshell this dryer is a LEMON and Whirpool will NOT replace it. Same for the matching washing machine. I will post a separate review for it. I would highly suggest looking at another brand of washer and dryers. If I could give this dryer ZERO stars I would. I wish Best Buy would do something to help in these situations but after the 14 day return policy they won't.
