Great brand great appliance, but could this dryer be more efficient? several times when loading big capacity we need to use more time to get things dry

We've been using our new Whirlpool dryer for a few weeks, and we're quite satisfied with our new and very modern looking appliance. This dryer is workhorse ! It efficiently handles various load sizes, including larger items like blankets and towels, all while sporting an appealing, sleek design. It reminded us of the 'The Autopilot " from the movie "WALL-E" for those of you who have seen that legendary movie. Only minor observation we've made is that when we use the Eco setting, a single cycle may not completely dry the load, requiring an aditional rerun. Overall, we're very pleased with the performance of this dryer!

I just got a new Whirlpool electric dryer with Wrinkle Shield and I'm already in love! It's perfect for my busy lifestyle - it leaves my clothes wrinkle-free and ready to wear. Highly recommend this product if you're looking for an efficient way to get your laundry done quickly!

Super efficient and great looking dryer. I have only had it a few weeks but have all the extended warranties so that I can keep these for as long as possible. Every load has come out soft and dry! Everyone who has come over has commented on how great they look! I would highly recommend the set!!

My mother bought whirlpool because she said they knew how to work with water-using products. We are enjoying the new washer and dryer tremendously. They are attractive, efficient and work well. I’ve never been disappointed in any whirlpool product I’ve purchased.

Quick delivery, quick installation, great customer service over the phone and in person. The washer is very user friendly and quiet. The dryer is quick and quiet as well. Great products! Value for your money!

I had always heard nothing but good things about Whirlpool appliances which led me to choose this brand when I needed a new Washer & Dryer set. I bought this dryer and the matching washer model # WFW5605MW from Best Buy 4.25.2023 and it has been nothing but a the worst decision and biggest waste of $1400 I could ever imagine. From the start, Best Buy overcharged me $100 for the set, I was assured the price would be adjusted at checkout prior to buying, then promised by the store manager the finance company would adjust the price when my first bill arrived. It's now 8 mos post purchase and after several dozen contacts with Best Buy, who immediately simply started hanging up on me the minute I identified myself and refused to give me any contact information for their management or home office when asked, despite the fact I was never rude, abusive, cursed or lost my temper with a single person the entire time since purchase w/ Best Buy, Whirlpool or Synchronicity who the Best Buy card is backed by. I contacted each company by phone, chat, email and in writing, sent receipts, screenshots, records of names, dates and details of conversations I had with Best Buy promising me they'd taken care of the overcharge, but as of today, 12/28/23 I haven't gotten 1 dime of the $100 I was overcharged refunded or credited to me or ever received a single apology for being ripped off. I also didn't receive the 12 mos of free Swash incentive the set was supposed to come with (big surprise), and after contacting both Whirlpool and Best Buy have never even gotten a straight answer as to why, only had the buck passed until I simply let it go too, after all I have way bigger issues with this W/D set than 12 mos worth of free $20 a bottle detergent as the set itself is complete and total cheaply made, dysfunctional useless garbage. The washer from day 1 has been the loudest washer I've ever had over the past 30 yrs (and I've had a lot) and it gets progressively louder with every load I try to wash. It's level, doesn't rock, isn't against a wall or touching anything, God knows I'm not overloading it as it only holds 2-3 items unless I wash all underwear (those I can fit 5-6 prs in a load, but it's still so loud I can't hear my husband talking right next to me when it spins) at the recommended capacity, but I promise you, after attending how to load a Whirlpool washer academy, I'm 150% sure I'm loading it correctly with approved items at approved capacity only, the shipping bolts are removed, floor's is solid and level - I've troubleshot every possible solution for endless hours and purchased $100s of rubber pads, feet, stabilizers, tools to adjust it properly I already had to adjust it like it already was, soundproofing baffling for my laundry room and any other possible way to correct the issue I could find or heard of over the 8 mos I've owned the cheap loud worthless washer, yet it still sounds like a freight train blowing through the entire house in spin cycle regardless of load size, balance or constitution and is louder every time I use it, which is a lot given the ridiculously small capacity I can fill it to per the service dept, I have to do at least 7-8 more loads every week than I did with my former lg front loader set - where I did a weeks worth of laundry in a weekend, usually in 1 day only with the lgs, I do 2+ loads a day with this set and still have several to do on the weekend. The washer also has thrown random error codes since the day I got it. Quite a wide range of them, yet the manual, the service guide or anyone at the customer care or service depts at Whirlpool can tell me what any of them mean, if I google the codes and the model # I get back 200 results that all attribute a different reason to each code, so I have no alternative but to turn the unit off and back on again then choose the load options again and restart the cycle, which so far has worked but worries me greatly. The dryer is just nearly as useless and even more cheaply made - I'm an average sized woman, yet if I brush against the dryer top or put my hand on it for support as I lean over it to get a dryer sheet, it dents the top badly, if I bump against the side for any reason or try to scoot it over when it walks out of place, it buckles the cheap metal sides, the tub is light, brittle and all plastic so it heats the entire house during a cycle and about a week after buying it stopped drying loads all the way on every cycle except timed dry. Multiple calls to the useless team at Best Buy, who refused to accept a return of either appliance only 1 week after delivery, then the even more useless service and customer care department at Whirlpool, and all I managed to get is an airflow test kit I had to do before scheduling a service call. Tell me, if a dryer works fine on time dry, but leaves clothes wet on every single automatic setting, how is that possibly an air flow issue? Of course it tested fine, and I found another huge downside with Whirlpool appliances, in addition to their limited joke of a 12 mo warranty, if you contact them for servicing during the warranty period, they try to talk you out of it endlessly, make you go through countless troubleshooting steps, then IF you win the prize after jumping through the hoops, they send a technician to service it who, should he/she find any way whatsoever to attribute the issue to the user rather than a manufacturer defect, then user pays the tech $140 for the call plus labor & parts out of pocket. What are the odds they won't find some way to blame it on user error here you think? I'll find out, finally jumped thru my last hoop and was awarded a service call for both appliances, will update afterwards. In short, If I wanted to hear an airplane landing in my kitchen and a dryer with 1 setting, I certainly could have saved a ton of money from the $1399 I paid for this set - which was supposed to be $1299 but hey, why should Best Buy sell it's products for the price they list them for on their own website when you buy them on the same website they are priced at the price you should be charged, right? As they have informed me many times - they don't price match competitors, despite my explaining til I ran out of sanity that I wasn't price matching and I bought them online at the price they listed them at FROM THEM, to no avail. Well it may cause my excellent credit to take a big ding, but I absolutely refuse to pay off the last $100 when I pay my last payment on this nightmare of a W/D set! You read it right - still making payments on a W/D set which, unless the service tech they send can work miracles on their dime or show me how it's my fault each one has a multitude of issues from the 1st day/1st week of use, I'm clearly going to end up replacing these before the warranty is up or the last payment made. Why? Because Best Buy, Whirlppol and Synchronicity have no business ethics, not a bit of concern about customer care or complaints, no problem robbing their customers of $1400 and I'm sure much more for being dumb enough to buy their worthless junk with it's imaginary warranty and bogus satisfaction guaranteed return policys. BUYER BEWARE!! Buy anywhere but Best Buy and any brand but Whirlpool unless you have tons of $ to burn and like spending your entire life doing laundry or whatever your next appliance is supposed to do and spending countless hours on the phone/pc/writing letters proving your case, sending detailed records asking for escalation and in general arguing yourself blue in the face until you start to be sure of an imminent aneurism. In closing, I was taught to always find 1 positive thing about anything I complain about - so I do commend Whirlpool for training their agents - not to know even the most basic information about their products like what error codes mean, not to even attempt to stand by their products and certainly not about brand loyalty or customer satisfaction -but they will bend over backwards in a frenzy any time you contact them by any means to bombard you with sales pitches hounding you to buy their ridiculously overpriced extended warranties, incessantly, no matter how angry you are and how upset you express yourself to be and I see why, obviously they're must haves if you hope to actually use a functioning Whirlpool appliance for anything other than scrap metal at any time after purchase. Oh and did I mention, both the washer and dryer in this pair have PLASTIC front doors and PLASTIC hinges? yep, that speaks for itself doesn't it? Sure wish I'd listened.

The delivery and installation was a breeze. So far a few months in and we have not had any problems, they're also not very loud and the setting allow you to do quick washes if toure in a hurry without compromising the cycles effect. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I bought this dryer with the matching washer. I chose to have them on the floor without the pedestal. They're a bit to bend down to, but this appliance works perfectly. I love the options.

Piece of crap. Does not dry clothes. A normal load should not take 2 hrs to dry.

Nice product. Works well. Quiet. Lots of options to choose from for settings.

After 3 dryers/deliveries, the preset buttons, except for timed dry, shuts off before the loads are dry. Also, the third dryer, scratches on front door.
