I love leaving good reviews on things that work well. When my washer died, I replaced it with a larger capacity tub without replacing the dryer. The electric (Whirlpool) dryer required a little longer time using the same settings but did well. When the dryer finally died, I thought replacing it with a larger capacity (7.0 cu-ft. electric) would be even better! Wrong. The first couple of times, I had the heat setting on Medium heat, and the normal load of everyday clothes (no heavy-duty items like jeans) took 2 full Auto cycles to get dry. So I tried setting the dryer on High heat, Auto setting. It still takes more than one full cycle to get the clothes dry. Even with the Timed cycle on the maximum time and the heat on High, it requires additional time. Before I can take the clothes out of the dryer to hang them up or fold them, I have to reset the dryer and wait longer. This makes doing laundry frustrating. The dryer says it has 14 possible cycles, but if you're wanting your clothes dry (not damp dry), only two are really workable. If you are a busy person and place efficiency and productivity as a high priority, this is not the dryer for you!

Love this dryer. It has the no wrinkle tumble when clothes are dry. Dries clothes quickly; I've not needed anything higher than low heat to get the clothes dry.

Works well. Haven't had any issues 3 months in. Easy pick up.

Excellent choice for the money. I needed a dryer immediately and I wanted this one because the dryer door was hinged at the bottom not the side. I am satisfied with my purchase. I only put the dryer on medium heat to dry and it works excellent. If you need/ want just a pretty straight line dryer without a lot of “extras” (that you pay for) then this is a great choice. I hope it works for a long time.

Needed a basic model dryer when moving to our new house. Had this on about a month and it seems to fit the bill. Top opening door is especially good for the limited space in our laundry room.

The unit has a known defect that causes the drain motor to keep running continuously even after the cycle has ended. I contacted Whirlpool customer service and was informed that this is a known issue with the unit. I was never notified about this issue and had to find it on the internet. A technician came out to diagnose the unit, even though I specifically told the customer service rep what the issue was when I called initially. I was told that the part needed for repair is on indefinite backorder, with no timeline for resolution. Today a repair tech was scheduled to finally replace the board on the machine but had been given a part for a microwave as opposed to the one for my machine. I was told that I am now back to the beginning of the waiting line for the correct part with no time line whatsoever for the part to arrive. I am disabled and cannot drag laundry to a laundromat nor should I have to as I have a purchased machine at home. This is unacceptable.

I bought this machine mostly because I trust Whirlpool as a brand. So far it has done a good job. It is simple to use and have useful feature in its menu. I am happy with it.

Large number of temperature settings including no heat (air fluff). Large capacity dryer. Cycle complete buzzer is loud, but you can turn it off with the dial.

This is a matching dryer for the washer that I bought one year ago. The dryer is quiet and has the perfect amount of settings for someone who doesn’t need lots of bells and whistle’s

Dryer works great. Delivery was fast and informative!

Quiet and efficient. Takes 2 or 3 cycles for me to know how it works, but now I set it and forget it. Works great for me. I don't need the fancy extras, and this unit still does more.
