    It’s only been a few weeks, but this dryer seems to be what we wanted, a replacement for our old Whirlpool that lasted about 20 years. This model is very basic, nothing fancy, nothing unnecessary.

    Our previous dryer stopped working after 20 plus years of service. So we had to say goodbye to the old and hello to the new. The new Whirlpool dryer is only about a month old, but we look forward to a lasting relationship with it as well.

    Dryer is 'old' style. typical controls and buzzers of one made anytime from 1980s-2000. Very loud buzzer, only options are on/off. Analog dial controls. Dries well no bells or whistles (except the crazy loud buzzer) High priced for the features

    Our family's previous gas dryer was purchased in 1987. This model is virtually the same. I hope it will last as long as the old one. I used it the first day of installation. Function was flawless and easy.

    Just purchased this dryer, and while it dries well, I hear a high pitched noise. This is somewhat concerning and I will keep an ear on it and hope nothing breaks. The Best Buy Protection Plan is a plus when these things are in play.

    We love this dryer. We bought it because my mom is not digitally savvy and has a hard time programing new appliances. This is perfect because it's simple and she can leave everything the same and not feel intimidated by a more complicated machine. I'm shopping for the matching washer today!
