Too many alarms where there is nothing to worry about... felt like disturbance while driving

Works fine but not sure on the strength and ability to detect radar at long distances.

Works sometimes, sometimes it doesn’t. Was worth the money spent tho.

I found that it keeps beeping at all times. Any random remote signal would get it triggered. Therefore, I reduced the volume and turn it ON only when I drive at an unknown road with a potential speed trap. Still, not bad enough for the price.

It obviously detects what it says it does. A lot of the time it feels like it is reflecting back at itself and giving itself false positives. Also at random times I've had the VG2 go off and never be able to find a trooper.

i got one of these radar for 30 buck only i thought it wasn't gonna work and i was going to return it. Turn out when i got it in the mail and use it for the first time it was able to detect the speed sign were i live!!! then a few days later it detected a chp radar gun the thing went off like crazy for the price i paid for i can't really complain a pretty god detector. i just wish the range on the 360 protection went farther.

the first time i saw this my friend had one and ive bought some before so i thought they dont really work since the other ones didnt but when my friend was approaching a police car we hadnt seen yet it alerted us and he slowed down but there was no trap just the car we passed the car then it went off again so we slowed down and then it got louder and louder it tiurned out that there had been a speed trap about two overpasses in front of us and when i saw that it actually worked then i decided that i should get one so i did and so far it has gotten me out of about six speed traps i thinik it already paid for itself if your in the market to buy one and dont have money lying around everywhere you should not overlook this one no complaints it does what its made to do detect speed traps im getting one for all my vehicles

These are somewhere between a high end Cobra and a very low end Bel. All the internals in the Whistler line are the same, just have different extras. Mine has been decent, I can really trust the laser side, its amazed me picking up cops from far away and around obstacles. the X,K,Ka arent really impressive though, about the time Ka (cop!) goes off, I can usually see the cruiser- not alotta help.. I don't "speed" but sometimes Im not paying attention, so a detector is just a reminder for me. I'd save to get another detector unless price is a real factor, because you'd save alot of money in tickets so one Escort or Bel will pay for itself. If you just want an "alerting" radar, these will suffice. Oh, and I dont get many falses with this either, (weird considering the price) but the sound could be louder IMO.

Seems like all the detectors out there are pretty pricey and thought I would give this one a shot. It is inexpensive but seems to work pretty well. Alerted me to an officer on Highway 84 this last weekend. Time will tell, but so far so good. Cant really tell what the range is and if true to description. I like that it doesn't sound off every 30 seconds and the chime is not too irritating.

Whistler Radar & Laser Detector I got works great on highway. Not as good in the city but still really good. For the money I paid for this item it was money very well spent. It was not expensive either. Very happy with it. :)

Purchased this detector based on price and the reviews given. Recently took a road trip to Vegas and this Radar detector did exactly what its suppose to do "warn you of speed traps" I was going 90-100 mph on interstate 70 and interstate 15 and I can tell you it warned me off approaching speed traps way before I even saw the highway patrol sitting behind dense cactus. Even when the highway patrol was going the opposite way and they're radar was on. This whistler is worth every dollar!

This radar is pretty good for the price it sometimes goes off when nothing is around and picks up electronic gates.
