It fun but it is not as good as the original Wii, the hand held seems a bit pointless.

To start things off, I'm an avid gamer; have been for the past 15 years of my life, and all of those spent on consoles. Now, when growing up I was raised with Nintendo products, handhelds, consoles and games. Then, one Christmas I got an Xbox with Halo and basically my relationship with Nintendo products was tested, though I still loved my GameCube. Then, a year after the Xbox 360 came out, I bought one. I also bought a Wii. The extent of me playing the Wii was miniscule. Barely played it. I loved my 360 and from then on was an Xbox person. I bought a One bundle when they came out. However, fast forward to the now and I just wasn't happy gaming. None of the Xbox games were really doing it for me anymore, and I lost my excitement for the system. Then, three days ago I decided I'd had enough. I caved and bought myself the Wii U, along with Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart 8, and NES Remix Pack. Three days later, I still haven't opened either MK8, or NES RP. I've spent all the time in Super Mario 3D World and loving every second of it. You just can't play a game on the Wii U and not smile while doing it. Everything looks good (Mario in HD is stunning), the user interface is revamped and better than ever, the game catalog has some of the most recognizable game characters ever conceived. I can't wait to have kids just to show them this system. My girlfriend is even into SM3W, and we can't wait to play MK8 along with Super Smash Bros. Overall, this is the game system to own if you want some of the best experiences with games, and a fun, truly enjoyable experience. The one gripe coming from a system such as the One is solely the App Support, basically the amount of apps available for the One heavily outweigh what's available for Wii U, but I don't care. I love this thing. Oh, and the Gamepad is an amazing controller for the system. You will be fighting over who gets to use it! And a notice to any gamer, buy the Gamer's Unlocked Club Membership. It's only $30 and will save you 20% on new games (including amiibos!) for 2 years.

Game system is awesome. System is like WII but the wii U pad enhances the experience.

I had a Wii some time ago. Sold it. Bought a WiiU shortly after it released. Although it's had a rough start, it's really come into it's own! It's an amazing machine! Too bad most third party developers dropped their support for it. That didn't deter Nintendo from making some amazing games! Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros WiiU. And there's more to come! The price is perfect for what you get too!

The Nintendo wii u is suppose to be a next gen system but it still feels like a step behind thr other systems.

First off... I also own an Xbox One and I have been playing video games since I was 5 (1990), so I have owned quite a few systems growing up. People need to stop the stigma that the games for the Wii U are meant for children and/or adults that are terrible at video games. I actually have more fun playing Wii/ Wii U games compared to the non-stop and uncreative garbage that is released on Xbox One and PS4. I was getting bored with video games and this system got me interested in gaming once again. Pros: *Much more affordable than Xbox and PS4 *Games that will keep you entertained *Great for any type of gamer *Can play regular Wii games Cons: * If you're not into bright and cartoony graphics, then this won't be for you. The graphics aren't bad, but the Wii U won't obviously have the same power as other console. *Not a huge game library - Nintendo doesn't have a lot of third-party developers, which limits the amount of games the Wii U has.

The games that came with it are not playing on the game and will have to return them

The disc tray got stuck several times making my game discs scratched Beware!
