My kids love this as well as the whole family. The games are geared towards younger children as well which helps at times.

If you liked the Wii, definitely buy the Wii U. Very fun to play and I like how you can either play on your tv or the gamepad.

Got this for my kid for Easter. Must be great. Hear a lot of yelling, cheering and jeering (cussing too) but he's very happy.

The Wii U sets the standard for Modern consuls. Everything is easy to use and clearly defined. A great experience over all.

My nephew finds it soo easy to use the large controller and enjoys playing Mario World , as well as, my old Donkey Kong games.

I bought the Wii U gaming system for my daughter. She communicated that it has been an Absolute Joy to play the various games.

Love this for my son instead of the more mature games that are on other newer platforms. Have way more kid friendly games.

I was originally not a proponent to this console. It was poorly advertised and it felt like it literally just showed up at stores, I don't believe I saw one commercial. However, I finally added this console to my collection and so far I'm loving it. What I really wanted out of this console was to play my Wii virtual console games with native HDMI upscaling for my 4K television. Everything looks pretty great, I'm very impressed. The only thing I wish is that it would play GameCube games so I could upscale them too, but I guess you can't get everything. The only real criticism I have for the Wii U is that 32GB of memory is a serious joke since games are HD and much larger and as time goes by I'm going to have to rely on external storage to keep up. That aside I highly recommend this console to anyone who has new TVs and want Nintendo games to look better.

Come on...what review do you need? I'm no Nintendo fanboy, but the Will U is a fun system with quite a few great games.

2014 was the year of Nintendo finally. They finally published enough perfect quality games (Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros to name a few) and are ramping back up to the top in the console wars. It may not have a lot of 3rd party games that are "default" in the other consoles, but they make this up with awesome products of their own. So to sum up, you require this to complete your gaming systems with original, competitive and fun to play games not available in other consoles.

I was on the fence about getting this. I had many of the original gaming consoles: Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, and PS2. I haven't owned a gaming console since then. After much deliberation, I took the plunge and bought the Wii U. And I have no regrets. Super Mario 3D World is pretty fun and Nintendoland is a good party game. I highly recommend Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. They are well worth the investment. If you have ever been a fan of Nintendo games, the Wii U is worth getting.

Nintendo has exclusive games that are fun to play. I like that it finds ways to improve on old games from older platforms.
