Accuracy is poor, will not measure pulse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not as accurate as fitbit force or the fitbit flex. Thought I would try something different when I lost my fitbit force, what a big $140. mistake!!

Nice product with a singular flaw
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tracker should not be used with the clip: it is not a secure mount. The wrist band works well but to use the oxygen sensor it must be removed

It has its good and bad points
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my Pulse for a few years. The software was updated to the Pulse O2 a while back. I bought the wrist band later but the silicon band material caused severe skin irritation I replaced the steals with a rubber strap. The provided mounting will fit an 18 mm standard strap. I've worn it on my wrist most of the time. The pulse and O2 levels are accurate to my doctor's measurements. Withings has had decent customer service. When the strap caused problems, they offered to buy a different strap. When I had issues with operation, they were prompt to respond. The sleep measurement is ok, not great. The pulse has now failed to reset or operate. Withings has sent a discount code to buy a new one at 25% off, but I will be going to a newer more up to date tech style monitor that provides continuous HR and a vibrating alarm. The Pulse O2 is dated in design and needs an upgraded style and functionality.

Didn't work out for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Withings Scale and thought this would be a good choice to accompany it. Unfortunately it wasn't comfortable to wear either on the wrist or using the clip. Hard to read and having to take it out of the clip to get heart rate was annoying.

Beware of Water, Pulse Oximeter not "Convenient"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pretty disappointed at first because I thought there would be something magical about the device. After all, it would have to take some feat of engineering for a portable device to read your pulse and oximetry while wearing it on your wrist! Turns out, it cannot do that. You have to take the device out of the watch band and place your finger over the sensor for it to read your pulse and oximetry. I kind of figured something like that would be the case, but I was hoping I was wrong. Turns out, I wasn't. I really wanted a device that would read/track my pulse as I was exercising. The Pulse O2 does not do that. Turns out the Pulse O2 is no better than an app I can purchase on my phone to read my pulse and determine oximetry levels. Considering the app is significantly less expensive, the Pulse O2 offers very little benefit in that regard. Given as how I suspected tracking a pulse would not be that easy, I still figured I would give the device a shot. I have been using a Nike Fuel Band for quite some time now and was looking for something a little more robust. The Pulse O2 tracker seemed to do a fairly decent job of tracking my movement and it synced very easily with the free app. I have a Withings scale and the app took that information, along with the information I entered into MyFitnessPal and the data generated by the Pulse O2, to generate a very compressive picture of my activity. It also had a "sleep" function that somehow told me whether I was in deep sleep or something else. I am not sure how it worked, but the feature seemed pretty cool, at least for the one night I used it. The reason I only was able to try that feature for a single night was because I went jogging the next day and was caught in a rather prolonged and heavy downpour. Shortly thereafter, the Pulse O2 stopped working. When I contacted Withings support, I was told the device cannot tolerate water (even though I was told at the store the device was water resistant). Withings then offered to allow me to buy another one for 25% off, which was somewhat insulting. For the brief period of time I did use it, the device seemed to work okay. It had some nice features, although the display was difficult to see in daylight. The touch display also was not as fluid as I would have hoped. (Then again, I am used to my smart phone, tablet computer, and other devices with fairly responsive touch screens, so it may not be a fair comparison.) Simply stated, the Pulse O2 would be pretty slick if you are wearing it for anything but activity in which you might get wet. Admittedly, I was absolutely soaked from the rain, and I'm sure the exposed mini USB port on the device did absolutely nothing to keep the water out of the device. With that being said, this device is sold to people who I am guessing, like myself, are somewhat active and may wind up getting wet. I can only suspect what would happen if someone forgot to take it off in the shower, sauna, hot tub, or before jumping in a pool. Again, this device is not designed for an athlete. It is designed for someone who intends to always stay dry. Call me jaded, but I feel as though I was cheated out of over $100 for a device that worked for about three days before it was killed by the rain. Definitely not worth the price I paid. if you think there is a possibility of getting wet, stay clear of this device. If you are wearing the device on your wrist or with the included belt case, you will have to take the device out of either before you can read your pulse or oximetry as well, which really diminishes its value in my opinion.

Absolutely love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So happy with this purchase. The things I like best about the Withings Pulse over the Fitbit and other popular trackers is that it works with both Apple & Android. I have it synced up to my iPad & Droid phone. I also like that you can wear it as a clip or a wristband (most other trackers you have to pick one or the other) Most of the day I wear it as a clip, but I wear it as a wristband to bed to track my sleep. Honestly, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and 3 of my co-workers have also purchased it and we all enjoying comparing our historical data. The only negatives I can say is that it's not waterproof so I can't wear it swimming/kayaking, etc and for ice hockey I put it in a ziplock bag and hide it in my pads. Also, the heart rate monitor is not continuous, so if that's your main focus then I wouldn't recommend it. For overall activity tracking - steps per day, miles you've walked/ran, calories burned & sleep tracking - it doesn't get any better than this!

Best for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have used many of the $100~$200 dollar range units. This is by far the best unit. Battery life is acceptable. Comes with USB charging cable. You will not get all the data and functions on the others...also with the downloadable apps to both Apple and Android, you can even do so much more. PROS: Light weight, attractive, wear on wrist, put in pocket, clip to belt. Easy to read display, Is a watch, calorie counter, does elevation. Heart rate and oxygen intake meter. Customizable display CONS: Can not wear in pool or shower, have to take off band or clip to check heart rate or O2. NICE IF IT HAD: GPS and location recovery...we lost one at a Sam's club shopping = /

In the long run, flaky.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am on my third, warranty replacement, Pulse O2 tracker. The O2 sensor on the 3rd is now done. The 1st had issues with the touch screen not functioning making sleep tracking and pulse measurement nil. The second, would fail to record all activity and the run tracker did nothing, treating running as steps (which I could live with honestly), however returning from a 4 mile run and having recorded only 4000+ steps is unacceptable. The support however is excellent! Return shipping not included.

Size, convenient to use, great features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turned this on and started using right away. Can clip it on pants pocket or just put it in pocket. Battery goes at least a week before needing to recharge. Syncs with health mate app on phone and/or iPad. Heart rate measuring and sleep tracking are simple and easy to do. Others have reported difficulty inserting device in wrist strap - I have not had that problem. Pretty easy to do. App allows you to enter and track health measures like blood pressure, too.

Great Idea - Poor Reliability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it when it works. Fails to capture O2 periodically and all Whitings support team can do is refer me to read (reread) the manual and FAQ's. Support is basically nonexistent - cannot reach company by phone, but they will respond to emails eventually. The response is always an excerpt from the FAQ's/manual and a link to read the same. Beyond that there is no support. O2 function worked perfectly for a little over 1 week, then began having difficulty recognizing when finger was in position. Finally the Pulse O2 stopped taking HR and O2 readings altogether for approximately 1 week. Then suddenly it worked once. Immediately after it performed a firmware update and stopped working again. Only response from Support is to clean my finger, not press too hard, etc.. Pulse step tracker mode always works, but HR and O2 functions will go days without working and then suddenly work once or twice before failing again. Very unreliable product with no support. HR accuracy is marginal. Compared with my chest strap and Garmin HR monitors during exercise, the Pulse is way off (low). For sedentary measurements, the accuracy is reasonably good. Would like to recommend, but company's poor support makes it a poor product. Unfortunately since the Pulse is part of the Withings system, it also diminishes the value of the scales and BP monitors.

Continuous issues, customer service unresponsive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device stopped working as advertised after about three weeks use, and Withings Customer service is unresponsive. First, Withings advertises that the battery life is up to two weeks. I rarely see the battery last beyond two days. Here is the timeline I've experienced with my Withings Pulse O2: -25 Dec 2014 - started using Withings pulse O2 -20 Jan 2015 - Health Mate iPhone app started deleting pulse and O2 measurements. Device generally worked properly, but Withings started deleting the measurements from both the app and my Pulse/O2. Subsequently, Withings kept recommending that I record my pulse and O2 ratings. This cyclic process generally continues to this day. -30 Jan 2015 - I contacted Withings regarding deleted pulse/O2 measurements and battery life -08 Feb 2015 - I send a second support request to Withings. By this point, my screen started flickering and became nearly unreadable. At this point, I have to guess if I'm on the right screen to record pulse/O2 and/or start sleep monitoring. Since this date, my Withings pulse/O2 gets worse every day. -10 Feb 2015 - I received a response regarding my first complaint (11 days after filing the complaint). The response was generic including things like deleting the app and re-installing it. -14 Feb 2015 - I reply to the Withings notification stating that their remedies did not work and informing them that the device is now nearly unusable. -21 Feb 2015 - Today. I almost never see anything on the screen. To check the battery level, I first have to sync the device with my phone, and then see what my phone thinks the battery level is. I have only received the single response from Withings. The pulse/O2 function has also become unreliable. If often takes four or more attempts to record (I have to sync my device each time with my phone to see if it recorded). Additionally, it often takes four or more times to accurately record my resting pulse. My resting pulse is consistently between 39-50 bpm, and sometimes, while laying in bed, my Withings device will record a resting pulse of 130 when I can clearly tell it is in the 40s. I am currently looking for a replacement product that is not Withings because this device is not reliable, and the Withings customer service is unresponsive. Withings has lost additional business because I was considering purchasing additional Whitings products, but now I will not. Until I find a new device, I will continue to use this device that I have. Even though I can no longer read the screen and use additional features, the device seems to still work with regards to steps and elevation. It is unfortunate that Withings produced a lackluster product because I want to like this device and use it, but unfortunately, I will likely get rid of it in the near future.

EXCELLENT WORKOUT TRACKER!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far... this is ALIEN TECHNOLOGY! 100% accuracy in tracking my steps, distance travelled, calories burned, elevation in walking stairs and hilly walkways, and my sleep patterns, not to mention Pulse Rate and Oxygenation! Works seamlessly with my iPad and PC (open an account with Withings to get all of your information in one on your PC or MAC!). I can't imagine how something so small can be so POWERFUL and packed with amazing features. Sturdily built... you should get YEARS of service from this little device. Easy to use, small enough that you don't even know you are wearing it, and flawless Bluetooth data transfer make this one of the most innovative Health Monitors I have ever used. Integration with the Withings Health Tracker WS-50 Scale is FLAWLESS. The absolute BEST INVESTMENT I ever made. Going for the Blood Pressure Monitor next to complete the set! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
