    BEWARE OF WITHINGS PRODUCTS!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have been an earlier adopter of Withing products since they first introduced their scales. I have since purchased their Blood Pressure Monitor and the Pulse Activity Tracker. As an early adopter, I understand there can be the need for periodic firmware updates, etc., but Withings products have seemed to need exceptional user effort to maintain continued product functionality. That is particularly true for the Pulse. To make matters worse, Withings is a French company that offers limited customer support; none via telephone, at least to U.S. customers. I have recently wasted at least 6 hours of my life repeatedly attempting to solve problems with the Pulse, some of the effort due to incomplete and contradictory troubleshooting instructions from Withings "customer service". At least in my case, they have not stood behind their warranty. I recommend that U.S. customers avoid Withing products until their reputation for customer service significantly improves. [NOTE: I have degrees in Physics and Engineering and I am extremely technical and adept at troubleshooting electronic product issues. Products such as Withings, however, should not require special expertise to operate or maintain.]

The Style and Make of Product

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I had the product for a couple of months. Here is the issue that I find not great. 1.) You have to charge the product for at least 24 hours, it comes dead. 2.) The design of the product: You place the monitor into the band slots. Problem: THE MONITOR SLIPS OUT OF THE SLOTS: THERE IS NO PROTECTION TO STOP IT FROM COMING OUT!!! (I had to place tape around the band and monitor to keep it on. 3.) Band is made of rubber: It irritated my wrist when I sweat, leaving my skin chafe. (The material (Rubber) do not allow the skin to breath therefore leaving your wrist irritable.) Can't keep on at night..to allow it to monitor my sleep patterns. I really wanted this product to work for me. I like that you can charge the monitor. There is few activity monitors that is on the market that allow you to charge you monitor using a USB port vs replacing a battery. (if the company could consider redesigning the product to avoid the issue that I had, I would consider purchasing it. I do like the software.

    Not worth the $

I never write reviews BUT I had to let people know --this isnt worth the $...Fitbit one is WAY better and cheaper and a snap to setup. I had the fitbit one and washed it by mistake.. the new fitbit flex does not have a watch or stair climbing features anymore SO I switched to this WITHINGS 02 tracker..This tracker was more expensive, terrible at sleep tracking, watch band feels cheap like it will break any min or like the little pins holding the band will break, steps taken also not very accurate. Such a pain to program, setup and update... Im going to return this and REBUY fitbit one...I would highly NOT recommend this product

    Great tracker

I've used the fitbit flex, charge and the up, and this is the best by far including the excellent and informative health Mate companion app. I recently traded the pulse 02 for the new Withings Activite Pop watch tracker, and I am sastified with this product as well. I'm looking for people to join/ sign up for the steps leader board. Please email or comment if you are interested in some friendly and motivational competition.

    First time, last time

ZERO STARS. Purchased Withings O2 as gift. Ten days later it suddenly died during an app update. Contacted company and was put through multiple questions - did you get it wet, replace the USB, maybe it's your fault. Send us the device, we'll test it for humidity and sweat. How delicate does a fitness watch have to be to quit working because you sweat when working out? If your device fails the sweat test, sorry no replacement. For over $100, I expect more than 10 days of operation, let alone that it would be durable. Forget the idea of recommending to anyone. We won't be purchasing any of the coordinating devices either. Save your money. Buy a Striiv!

One of the only ones with Oxygen reading

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

BUT you have to slide the watch off the band and hold it to get a heart beat or oxygen reading. A bit of a hassle but at least they offer it and the price is reasonable. Very interesting to look at the sleep charts which reveal when deep sleep, light sleep, or mid-sleep wake ups occur.

Unit would not charge. Now I have to deal with BB customer service to return the product. There is simply no excuse for poor quality control. Also product looks extremely cheap and power button is difficult to depress.

    3 days...

for an item advertised as wearable tech-why did it break 3 days after receiving it? No manual labor, only an hour at the gym and normal household chores and office work. Contacted Withings Customer service via email-the (only way other than calling France direct), and I got this: "Thank you for contacting us. I am sincerely sorry for the delayed response and for the issue you are experiencing with you Withings Pulse. Unfortunately, physical damage is not guaranteed under warranty. We can provide you with a one time offer of 25% off the same product and free shipping, as long as you provide us with your address, phone number and valid proof of purchase." Seriously.... I do own the Withings baby monitor for about 2.5 years and that has exceeded my expectations.

    Accurate and easy to use

This product has been great, it's really changed the way I think about moving around and walking during the day. Setting it up and using it couldn't possibly be easier. The app is a major benefit as well. When used in conjunction with the Withings Smart Body Analyzer scale you get a single ecosystem to track your weight, activity, and sleep. Absolutely fantastic.

Love the Pulse and the integration between that, the app, and my Withings Scale. Also customer service was great - I had a problem and they went out of their way to resolve and keep a customer happy. Would highly recommend the Pulse and the Withings company in general.

    Bad Networking and Hidden Help

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The pulse is a great concept that gets betrayed by a hyper flowy and widget focused app. both products i bought have networking/connection problems. which seems silly. They take the Mac approach to connecting of tell you nothing, we'll do everything, except they don't. Pulse did not respond the way online help said it would when attempting to reinstall... eh.

    NOT a fitness tracker

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Took time to set up my profile just to say what a useless product this is. Description states you can monitor heart rate during activity. Not so fast. If you're wearing the wrist band here's how you check heart rate. Remove the device from the wristband (l'm not kidding). Tap through the screens to the heart icon. Tap the heart icon. Turn over the device and place your finger on the LEDs. If you were in the midst of an activity your heart rate has gone down before you get a measurement. Think the belt clip is more user friendly? Not a chance. You have to remove the device from the belt clip then proceed through the steps above. This is not a fitness tracker.. Display is difficult to view. You have to hold your arm up at an awkward angle to read the display. Paid $99. This thing is worth $19.One star rating is profoundly generous. Returning as soon as store opens.

    BAD PRODUCT. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Faulty device. Gave me pulse of 184, followed by 176 (normal 60 to100). Withings does NOT honor their warranty. They "replace" by changing purchased product AND replacement does NOT stay on the strap. Quite willing to replace straps, but NOT the unit supposed to track "activity, sleep and heart...."

Good Tool but WATCH MFG Warranty!

My Pulse 02 was nowhere near water - Withings said to send it in - now they have it and say 'Warranty is void - it had been near water.' No help whatsoever... and we had purchased scales [body analyzer] and #2# Pulse O2s. VERY disappointing.

Do not buy. Wrist band is junk-unbunkles and falls off. Clip no better. After 4 months unit falls out because case becomes too flimsy. Lost it.

To monitory heart rate or blood oxygen, you have to remove the sensor and touch the back. I will not monitor continuously. I am looking for an SpO2 continuous monitor so will be returning this.

I like the form factor and the look ... but i cant read it.. The pulse sensor is nice but you have to take it out and put it on your finger.. The phone and online apps are just not there... Hard to navigate and hard to configure.. You can NOT set goals for steps or any thing else... The big thing i wanted was the Heart monitor but i have to stop to use it and it is NOT and active monitor. Product was returned

    Not a good choice

This activity tracker is not a good choice at all. I have the Withings scale that works great, but not this product. The HR monitor is not easily accessible, it really isn't touch screen because it never works right. The battery lasts for about 2 days then shuts off. The screen stays lit for 3 seconds then shuts off. It is not at all easy to use or user friendly, and I am returning it.
