Just amazing! A++++
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for this game. And I’m glad they were fulfilled. It’s semi linear but feels open world in the way that you can chose your style and path. The graphics on the one x on my 77” oled tv are absolutely stunning. It’s a smooth 60fps. Lighting and ambient occlusion are spot on. The voice acting is what makes this game shine. It make you feel like you are part of the story. It’s interesting and engaging. Over all if you are into story driven FPS campaign games this is one you shouldn’t pass up.

Beautiful action packed shooter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you loved Wolfenstein The New Order or The Old Blood, you are totally going to love Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. This is an old-school, single-player shooter like they used to make back in the 90s. The levels are well thought out and complex, and the enemies are smart and require strategy to beat. It's not like the open-world or online-based shooters most people are used to today. But this game is sick, if single-player is what you're in to. The action is hardcore, fast-paced, and pulse pounding. You will be shooting bad guys fast one second, then hiding out using stealth to sneak around them the next. The controls are tight and responsive, and the graphics look great on the Xbox One X. The villains in this game are really horrible, and you really grow to hate them as the game goes on, and it's so satisfying to finally face them when the time comes in the game. If you like first person shooters with a serious, lengthy, and involving single-player campaign, and don't want something full of micro-transactions and online death-matches, you will love this game.

A Shooter That Knows How to Have Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you liked The New Order and The Old Blood, then Wolfenstein 2 is not going to disappoint. It amps everything up and does great job of blending the arcade-style shooting with a deep story and some memorable characters. The way the game plays and the story it tells seems like they would be at odds with one another, but somehow they make them work together perfectly and neither ever sacrifice for the other. The game puts you in control of BJ Blazkowicz again as you fight to liberate German-controlled America. The story picks up where The New Order left off in an alternate reality 1961 where Germany was able to conquer the world using secret technologies from an ancient culture. The main villains of the game have strike a good balance between being frightening and almost cartoonishly evil. It feels like sort of a silly story on the surface, but it has some real depth and a lot of uncomfortable commentaries about the realities of living in a world ruled by the Reich. The controls are intuitive and everything does what you'd expect it to. The game tends to skew toward the run-and-gun style of play. There are some stealth elements, but it doesn't feel quite as natural in this game, which is a shame because I preferred to take the stealth approach where I could and there were parts where it felt a bit tedious. The levels are well made and are mostly linear, but they leave a lot of room to explore and there's plenty of interesting collectibles laying around. Wolfenstein 2 has a good amount of boss battles and most of them have are a good challenge without being impossible. I finished the game on the 'Call Me Terror-Billy!' difficulty, which is one step below the hardest difficulty 'I am death incarnate!'. I started on the hardest difficulty because that's what I did on the last Wolfenstein games, but even in the beginning portion of the game I found it to be punishingly difficult and knocked the difficulty down a notch. I probably could have dialed the difficulty down even one step further at some points in the game, but I persevered. I like to be the guy that says he beat the game on the hardest difficulty, but I really think this game deserves to be played at a difficulty where you actually get to have fun with it. The graphics are great, especially on Xbox One X. The environments are beautiful and have a good amount of destructibility. The character models also look really good. I didn't see any hiccups in performance on the One X with dynamic resolution enabled. You can find deals on this game on a pretty regular basis and I would highly recommend picking it up, as well as the 2014/2015 Wolfenstein double pack if you haven't played those yet.

Another great story line for Wolfenstein fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this game. I finished the game and have been continuing on to complete the side missions. The Wolfenstein games are one of today's best games, especially when played on the new XBOX One X. There wasn't any delay or lag when going from scene to scene. This is a must for any gamer.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like single player campaigns or you liked the last 2 Wolfenstein games this is right up your alley!! It’s VERY fun, sucked me into the story & the action gets pretty intense, looks great on the Xbox One X, didn’t try it on my S, but imagine it shines there as well

Awesome visuals, great action!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the best looking game I’ve played on my 4K Samsung 8000. The Xbox One X really makes this game shine. It has great action right from the start, but it can be pretty vulgar if you aren’t expecting it.

It's a Blast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wolfenstein 2 continues the story as one of the best FPS franchises available today. The game has superb graphics and excellent sound along with a great story in the single player campaign. Pick up the double game pack with "The New Order" and "The Old Blood" to make the collection complete and you will own some of the best games for any FPS shooter fan. The games are fairly long and you do get your money's worth unlike some other games that only provide about a 6 hour campaign. These games come highly recommended!

Great game for beginner or expert
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I last played Wolfenstein back in the early '90s on DOS and that was incredibly primitive (still a lot of fun) but this new game is like being inside a movie. It's a good first-person shooter game and this is as close to being able to shoot Naz is as you can get without getting in trouble :-) It's also great because it allows you to set levels of difficulty so that as your skills progress from very beginner you can increase the challenge. Highly recommend!

Okay game pla supported by an incredible narrative
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wolfenstein 2 is one of the best written narratives in games today. This is Naughty Dog level writing. It's absurd and over the top but earns all the story beats it hits. I just with the game play was better. Guns take up too much real estate on the screen, you don't get feedback to tell you when you're hitting the enemies and you don't get good feedback when you're being injured by the enemies. Turn the difficulty down on this and enjoy it for the story, you won't regret it.

Dark, over the top, and difficult
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A worthy and crazier follow-up to the New Order, Wolfenstein II is everything I'd hoped for. Combining ludicrous plot points with grounded and well developed characters works as well as the first game. It's not an easy game, but it gives you multiple approaches to every situation, and features 6 difficulty levels, so you always have options on how to proceed.

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this game when it was on sale for Black Friday, never played this before since I just recently bought a Xbox One X. Only has a single player mode, story mode, but the game has a great story line, lots of guns, great graphics that play in upscale hd, 4k HDR. Looks amazing, feels good, and it's a great single player game.

Fantastic sequel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The New Order was a fantastic refresh to the series and this just adds gravy to the fantastic meal. Single player heaven. You can tell Bethesda took the long-thought notion that shooters don't need story and flipped that on its head. Great characters, fantastic villains and tight gameplay. Definite GOY contender!

Incredible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is hands down one of the most fun single player first person shooting experiences in a long time. It wasn't as fast paced as Doom, but the story pulls you in, keeps your attention and the gameplay is just as exciting and addictive. What a wakeup to the franchise!
