This is the debut album of the former members of As I Lay Dying. The music was great. The quality of the cd and case were great and I got it at a great price as well.

Oh wow! I did not expect this cd to be this good!! After a year of As I Lay Dying drama with former lead singer Tim and his murder for hire charges, these guys come back with an incredible release! The message behind this entire album is for Tim. Especially the lead single. I got serious goosebumps when I realized the message. Seriously. Read the lyrics. Very powerful. Tim definitely "has the change to rise again" after his time in prison. He will come back stronger than before.

This is a triumphant return to musicianship for the boys formerly of As I Lay Dying, and their new direction is even more epic! I bought this album even after I had already purchased it on iTunes because I wanted an original copy to keep in my car since there isn't a bad track on the whole disc!

This is COMPLETELY different than As I Lay Dying. I loved As I Lay Dying. So I was curious to see what Wovenwar was going to be like. I was pleasantly suprised to hear that it has more of a Hard Rock vibe about it. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. It is obvious throughout the messages are written for oldtime bandmate from As I Lay Dying, Tim. Especially in the song All Rise. I got goosebumps when I realized the message in the song. If you dont know, long story short, Tim was arrested for murder for hire. He is now in prison. The message of this song is about showing the world what your made of, despite all the obvious wrongs that he has done recently. Rise up and show people you can change. That you can take this trial of being in prison and make it a good thing. Show the world that you accepted the consequences of your shameful actions, and became a better person. BE A MAN!

So you probably know about Tim Lambesis but that doesn't matter. This band doesn't really sound like As I Lay Dying. That may be a good or bad thing depending on your tastes but I wish there was more music like this out there. Just good metal with no frills and for those of you who don't like "growly" or "harsh" vocals then this is the album for you. The music is first class all the way. Too bad it took a horrible situation for this music to be released.

I understand the need to explore different sounds so that you're not copycatting your other band's sound, but I find nothing likeable about this. It's basically As I Lay Dying neutered. Fans of As I Lay Dying may be disappointed with this band. In the mean, check out Austrian Death Machine's Triple Brutal, and keep your fingers crossed for a future As I Lay Dying album.

whenever a band breaks up i am both happy n sad , happy because new bands will form w members n sad cuz well the band broke up . what ive fnd they break up mostly cuz they r getting stale anyway. this is a great freshman cd by one of my fav old bands or pert there of n you can understand the wrds wow

This band is basically As I Lay Dying but with a new singer. The songwriting is fantastic, the singing is fantastic. I cant really say anything bad about this record. Pick it up and enjoy

This is the debut album from wovenwar and although the guitar sounds like as I lay dying (all the instrumentalists are from aild) the vocals set this album apart. Its great.

im glad the rest of the members of AILD are still making music. Though I miss Tim's vocals, i like the introduction of clean vocals. The instrumemtals are peferct as usual.

I bought this out of curiosity with this new assortment of band members. Wovenwar didn't disappoint. And a good job by Best Buy as the CD arrived promptly & undamaged.

The 4 dudes from As I Lay Dying have moved on. It's impossible not to mention that band in a review for this one, but Shane Blay's vocals are very much a different animal than the incarcerated Tim Lambesis'. If you're reading this, you've probably already made up your mind about Wovenwar. There's a lot of fist pumping goodness on here, and a lot of stuff All That Remains did 8 years ago. Worth a listen for Phil Sgrosso and Nick Hipa's 6 string wizardry alone. These dudes have cops, and it's good to hear them on record again.

It's a good album if you like As I Lay Dying. It's the same band with a new singer and a new name since the old singer (Tim Lambesis) went to jail for awhile.

Great band! Glad to have purchase the album. If you haven't, you should consider adding it to your collection. Worth your time and money!

These guys are good and fun to listen to. Just wish the entire cd was consistently a little faster and heavier but I still like it.

This is from a new metal band and it's good. If you like metal, groove metal give this band and this cd a try, it's good.

Great album with crunching hooks and hard hitting lyrics. Fans of Demon Hunter will dig this release.

Perfect blend of Oh, Sleeper and As I Lay Dying. Would defiantly recommend this album to anyone.
