This game is absolutely madness. If you loved Destruction Derby on Playstation 1, than you'll love this game on Xbox One & Series X

Probably is a better game to play online against others. The solo play is kind of boring

Bought this for my son, and he loves it. Only 1 player offline, so he's bummed we can't play together

I read many reviews saying how great this game is. It is awful. The racing part is average at best. The lawnmower races and stuff are just bad "rag doll physics" type games that I thought died with the PS2. Avoid and play Forza Horizon series instead.

I didn't really know what to expect with Wreckfest. I new from reading about it that the physics and car damage modeling would be good, but I didn't know it was going to be this good! This game is sooooo much fun. I have to say that I actually like this game more than Forza Horizon 4. It is really easy to get into this game, the menu systems are quite easy to navigate through and the quantity of tracks you get right out of the box will keep you busy for hours. Not to mention the simple customization options that you get to play with, to make your vehicle more durable and fast. I haven't had this much fun with a racing / destruction game, since the days of Destruction Derby on the Sega Dreamcast. The damage modeling in this game is something to see....from the car damage to the environment around you, nearly everything in and around the tracks you race in, can be destroyed and it sure is a joy to do it!! There is a replay feature that allows you to watch your races / destruction derby matches back from various camera angles and also gives you a chance to put those amazing crashes into slow motion. Who knew that watching pieces of cars and the track walls flying through the air would be satisfying. Well, let me tell you it definitely is. And for the price point of $39, you really can't go wrong if you like anything about destruction derby type racing. Add in elimination racing, team racing and solo banger races and you really have a fun racing game that keeps it simple, but oh so satisfying. I have a feeling that since there hasn't been the hype surrounding this title like there is for a Forza game, that you might have trouble finding a copy as the holidays get closer. Especially as the word spreads on how much fun this game is to play. It seems that stores are carrying less copies of these smaller studio titles than they do of the big name games. That being said, I would definitely recommend picking this up while you can!

Scratches that destruction derby itch

About a decade ago came a game from Codemasters called DiRT Showdown that featured some aggressive racing events where the course could be filled with out-of-commission vehicles they you had to maneuver around in order to not total your own vehicle.
Wreckfest takes it up a notch with more vehicles on the course at once as well as dedicated events to destruction derby and other silly one-offs. It stumbles when it becomes a typical racing game, but man the game's highs really soar.

Downloaded this game the other day and can not be more satisfied with my purchase. The graphics are absolutely stunning when playing on my 4K HDR TV. There are loads of tracks to choose from, and the career mode is great also. The load times are a still slow but still a great game. So if you like this type of racing game...just get it, you won’t be disappointed.
