I am retired and build PCs and optimize TVs and stereo systems on the side. This TV was packaged normally. The legs are set so you can't put them on backwards. If you are coming from a Firestick, installation is simple. If not, you will have to download apps and enter passwords normally. It is built well, no flex at all. The TV is bright enough to show colors and great detail. It is not as bright as the next model up, but plenty bright. Picture quality is excellent, the blacks are surprising and on OLED level. Out of the box, calibration is very good, I saw no reason to change anything. There are five options on video and sound, surprisingly, there is a noticeable difference. I prefer filmmaker, sports and vivid, but that is subjective. If you don't care for presets, the menu has all the options to change to your taste. Processing is outstanding, much better that last years model. It upscales well enough that you may not see it necessary to wire directly. The new HDR 10+ is remarkable. I tested it wiring my PC to it having the most popular recent CPU and GPU, it performed well with low latency. No Game Bar, but I have found that it is not necessary if you have good input. Of course, use game mode. TVs have come a long way with sound. This one actually has a subwoofer and spatial sound. The new version of Dolby Atmos is impressive. With sound, same as video, 5 presets to choose from. I recommend you turn up the lowest 2 bands. 50 watts, plenty loud for a bedroom, small apartment, or small room. It is not the same as a quality soundbar or stereo output, It doesn't have booming bass, but I believe for most it will be acceptable. Think comparable to a new car stock stereo. Overall, if this is your budget, you will be pleased. Like anything else, you can always spend more for diminishing returns. One potential downfall: To meet the price point and picture quality given, it has a narrow field of view. This TV is designed to be sat in front of. If you have a large room, keep that in mind, but for a bedroom or small living room, no problem. For those who are unaware of the brand, Hisense is a manufacturer that has been making TVs since 1979, with nearly 19,000 employees. They are not as known in the US as worldwide. Their business model is different, building their own panels and parts, which costs less, and passing the savings along to consumers, and accepting less margins for mass production. Buy this, you will be happy.

The Hisense 55" U6 Series really surprised me in a good way. For the price, the picture quality is honestly impressive. The screen gets plenty bright, which is perfect if you have a lot of windows or keep the lights on. Even during the day, the colors still pop and everything stays clear, so you’re not squinting to see what’s happening on screen. The Mini-LED and QLED combo gives movies and shows a nice, vibrant look without having to mess with a bunch of settings. Out of the box, it looks good enough that you can just turn it on and enjoy whatever you’re watching. Sports and fast scenes hold up well too, so it doesn’t feel blurry or laggy. What I like most is how easy it is to live with. Fire TV makes it simple to hop between apps, and the setup takes just a few minutes. Nothing complicated or frustrating. It feels like a TV that just fits into your routine without any drama. Overall, this model is a great pick if you want something bright, colorful, and modern without spending big money. It’s definitely a solid everyday TV that does a lot right and feels like a good value.

    Great Picture, OK Sound

Background: We have a 50” TV in our bedroom that we mainly use for TV or movies before bed. It’s been decent but we wanted an upgrade to something bigger and brighter with a better picture quality. TLDR: This TV is good for the price. The picture is sharp and the colors were accurate. The speakers left a lot to be desired and didn’t deliver the sound quality I was hoping they would. Design: The TV was lightweight and thin which made it easy for me to unbox and hang it on the wall myself. The downside was when I was playing with it prior to mounting, the legs were too far apart for the TV to fit on the TV stand. That was a disappointing miss on the design. Picture: The picture was great, sharp, and colors were accurate. There was no noticeable motion blur during moving scenes. Brightness made it easy to see even in broad daylight. Sound: I was disappointed by the sound quality of the speakers. They were very focused on the high end and had no bass. It made watching movies feel very superficial and not at all immersive. Luckily, I have a sound bar that can easily address the shortcomings. Overall: I really like this TV for the amount we will use it. I’d reconsider the purchase if I had to rely solely on the built-in speakers but we won’t end up using them as it’ll be sound bar or even headphones mostly.

    Big Picture, Small Price

Incredible value for what it delivers. The picture quality is shockingly good at this price point. The Mini-LED backlighting gives you deep contrast and bright highlights, while the QLED panel makes colors pop in a really natural way. Setup was easy, and since it’s a Fire TV, all my streaming apps were ready right away. Watching movies feels cinematic, and even casual gaming looks sharp with low input lag and Variable Refresh Rate support. It’s not the brightest TV on the market, so if your room gets a ton of direct sunlight, you might notice some reflection. And the viewing angles aren’t perfect; picture quality is best straight on. But those are small trade-offs for what you get. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your setup, this TV is proof that you don’t have to spend thousands for great performance. Highly recommend.

I recently purchased the Hisense 55U65QF (Class U6), and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. Setup was incredibly easy — from unboxing to streaming my favorite shows, everything was intuitive and smooth. The operating system is fast, well-designed, and easy to navigate, which made getting all my apps and accounts connected a breeze. The picture quality is excellent, bright, crisp, and detailed. I’ve watched football, movies, and a lot of YouTube content, and everything looks fantastic across the board. The different picture modes are simple to switch between, and I especially enjoy the “Movie” mode for its natural tones and cinematic look. The TV is a bit thicker than I expected, but that small detail is more than made up for by its surprisingly rich sound. The built-in speakers deliver clear dialogue and a full, balanced audio experience that fills the room without needing an external soundbar. Overall, the Hisense 55U65QF delivers outstanding value. With great performance, easy setup, and impressive sound and picture quality, it’s a smart buy for anyone looking for an affordable 4K TV.

I purchased the Hisense 55” Class U6 Series MiniLED QLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Fire TV and I am very happy with it. It was incredibly easy to set up—the TV did most of the work automatically. The picture quality is very clear and crisper than any TV I’ve previously owned. The mini-LEDs make the picture very realistic with deeper shadows and brighter highlights and the QLED color is bright and rich. The built-in sound is full and realistic and does not need any ‘extras’ like a sound bar. Plus, it was easy to load and access all my apps. I don’t love that it doesn’t turn off right away when you hit the power button, but I do like being able to use my photos as the screen saver until it does turn off. This TV is a great value at its price point and I would recommend it to those looking for a great viewing experience without breaking the bank.

The Hisense 55" class u6 series Mini LED QLED UHD 4K HDR smart fire TV is very easy to set up and get started watching high quality picture with excellent sound. It bolted right up to our existing TV wall mount in less that 5 minutes, and it took about 10-15 minutes to get it set up, connected to the internet, and get signed in to amazon prime and start watching TV. Our sound bar works great with it and I was able to get the TV remote to control the sound bar with a little additional set up process and it is so easy to be able to use one remote for everything. The picture/video and sound quality and ease of setup made our first experience with our new tv a fantastic one!

I’m really enjoying this TV. It has a clear, crisp, picture and makes watching tv a very enjoyable activity. It was easy to set up and mound to the wall. The sound on it really projects as it is projects against the wall as well. I have it in my office and I can use it as well as a complement to my computer screen when I need to project things from my phone. The picture is vibrant and makes everything a pleasure to watch. I love how it is equipped with all of the apps as well and so I can navigate between the different platforms that I use to watch TV. It is very easy to use and I have no complaints. The cord is long enough to plug into the wall from the tv so I didn’t need an extension cord. The picture quality is really good and gives a realistic experience. A really nice TV.

I have the larger 100” big brother of this 55” U6 series in my living room and need a smaller set for my bedroom. Given the amazing performance of the larger set I decided I would give this smaller tv a try. Wow! It’s just as awesome as its larger sibling. The picture is clear and bright. It also includes Alexa and access to all my Alexa smart devices just as the larger version does. Set up was also a breeze as I used my profile from the other tv. The sound quality is great for viewing in a bedroom. The tv is also very light which makes for easy mounting and handling. I decided to go with a wall mount which really complemented the tv’s slim profile. Very thin bezel as well which gives a nice clean look.

Connectivity Galore at an Entry-Level Price

The 2025 Hisense 55U65QF miniLED with FireTV is an incredible value. It sits in the 'Entry-Level" price range, but has a host of specs and features you'd only expect in more-expensive models. 600 local dimming zones, and peak brightness of 1,000 nits allow for excellent contrast in dark to moderately-bright rooms. We have it on a stand in our small den, and it has done well coping with two adjacent windows to its side, and one window behind it. The setup was very simple. Given the option to use the remote or our phones, we chose to use our phone. The TV was connected via our Amazon account within minutes, and it allowed us to 'mirror' apps we had previously downloaded to another FireTV in our household. The FireTV interface is simple, clean and intuitive. We started enjoying our favorite streaming services immediately. 4K 60FPS videos streamed with no stutter, blockiness or signs of compression. While the room we placed it in is relatively small, the sound produced from the speakers is loud and clear. The controller is very small and easy to use. If I have one suggestion for improvement of this model, it would be making the remote feel a little bit more sturdy/premium in the hand. We were able to do some console gaming at 120FPS, and the TV handled it beautifully. This would be an excellent television for any modern gamer to enjoy. The FireTV can also be controlled via the app on your phone/mobile device, or from any Alexa device connected to your Amazon account. It's really cool to be able to say "Fire TV On" and have it turn on from across the room, or to mute the TV with your voice when a phone call comes in! There are just so many features to explore on the 55U65Q, that I'd run out of space if I tried. For a buyer that wants higher-end features at a lower-end price point, I'd make this TV a top contender for your next purchase.

This TV was very easy to setup, just plug in, upgrade and go! All the apps were pretty much there, we just downloaded a couple more. You do need to have Amazon account, and I had an existing FireTV profile, so I can’t speak to the setup if you don’t have those. The picture and sound are great quality. The back is not super flat, but flat enough, maybe we will try and hang it on the wall in the upcoming weeks. The remote is light and easy to navigate- have some app shortcuts, which I love!

If you have a superior game system, you need a superior tv to go with it. The Hisence 55U65QF is definitely up to the challenge. Every detail in full 4k is displayed with perfection. The refresh rate of 144hz has no lagging what so ever. No more missing power-ups in dark corners. If you pay close enough attention you are able to catch enemies before they sneak up on you! I will say that my new gaming experience has been taken to a whole nother level. The QLED color and built in subwoofer is absolutely amazing when I want to enjoy the view and sounds without a headset.

I love my new Hisense 4K Smart Fire TV! It was very easy to set up and use. The Fire TV is built in and it works great with Alexa. It is very easy to find my most popular games or apps. It is very smart. The picture is great and the built-in subwoofer gives it a great sound. I love that it makes my non 4K content look 4K. It works great with my PS5 or without. I use an antenna to get many local digital channels. I am very happy with this TV and I highly recommend it.

If you’re looking for a TV that provides excellent value and delivers awesome performance, the Hisense U6 is a solid pick. I am impressed by the colors and brightness. This TV performs well in bright areas, making it easy to watch in all lighting. The TV works really well in my covered patio. The picture is bright enough to combat the natural light that comes in during the day. In addition, the speakers on this TV are amazing. I usually need to add speakers, however I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and depth of sound on this TV. Setting it up was a breeze. I got the TV mounted to the wall, plugged in, and I went through a few quick items on the FireOS that is built into the TV. Other than logging into my streaming accounts, I was up and running in a few minutes. Given my use case, I am relying on streaming services to provide the content on the TV. The FireOS has everything I need and it is easy to navigate between the different apps using my voice or the remote. I am very impressed with the picture and sound on this TV and it represents a tremendous value. You get features that you’d expect from way more expensive TVs. I will strongly consider additional Hisense TVs in the future.

I'm so impressed with the Hisense 55" U6 Series Mini-LED QLED 4K Fire TV! The very first thing we noticed was how bright, crisp, and clean the picture is. The colors are bold and vibrant, and everything just pops. We love having movie nights and watching football — it honestly feels like you're right there in person. Setup was super easy, and the remote glides through the apps smoothly. We had zero issues adding or signing into any of our streaming apps. The remote is slim, has all the buttons you need, and is very easy to use. If I had to mention one thing that could be improved, it would be the sound quality. It’s not bad at all, but since we usually have our TV connected to a soundbar, it wasn’t a problem for us. Overall, this TV is an amazing value for the price. The picture quality, performance, and features make it feel way more expensive than it is. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great-quality TV without spending a fortune.

First, this television was priced nicely for the ease, size, and features that you get when purchasing. It was incredibly easy to set up and log in to different streaming services, and we noticed almost immediately how great the clarity is on this. My husband put on a movie right away so we could get the full experience. He chose Wonka. Every scene was so crisp and bright! The sound is great, and the picture is so clear and vivid, it looks like whatever you’re watching is happening right in front of you! We highly recommend the Hisense 55” Class U6 Series MiniLED QLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Fire TV! Perfect for family movie nights, watching your favorite sports team(s), etc!!

Coming from a basic 4K TV this Hisense Class U6 Series blows that one out of the water. The colors, images and sound are so crisp, deep and vibrant. Almost like I'm watching tennis in the arena. Easy to set up with the Fire TV App. TV comes very well packed with lots of protection inside. All of the AI tech is cool like the AI upscaler to enhance low-resolution content to near 4K quality.and the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is stunning to hear and see. Also has a built-in subwoofer. Just a great QLED TV. Alexa was easy to set up with the app after scanning the QR code and signing in. The sound is great while watching sports, movies and playing video games. Sounds like you're there in person.

I’ve never owned a Hisense product before, but I have had a TV with Fire TV built in. That older TV is around eight years old now and always felt a bit slow, with certain apps crashing or freezing. I was nervous that upgrading might give me the same problems, but this Hisense U6 Mini-LED QLED UHR 4K TV has been a completely different experience. Setting it up straight out of the box was incredibly easy. I already had the Fire TV app on my phone, and it integrated with the new TV in ways I did not even know were possible with just 1 click. The whole thing took just a few minutes, and it felt completely seamless. We plan to mount the TV eventually, but even on the stand it felt sturdy and simple to handle. The padding and protective strip around the bezel made me feel more confident taking it out of the box. The first thing that impressed me was the picture quality. I could see such clear detail on faces in a show that is over ten years old. The colors are vibrant but not overly bright, and even though the TV gives you plenty of customization options, the default settings were already excellent. I usually tinker with picture settings on every TV and monitor I buy, but I did not need to this time. The speaker quality is good and has a fair range. I usually keep the volume low at night, but when we watch together as a family, we turn it up to around 20. It gets loud enough without any distortion, and we still had plenty of room to go higher. We did not use a soundbar. The TV speakers alone held up great. We use a lot of apps, and the responsiveness inside each app was solid. The only place I noticed a slight lag was on the main home page, but once you are in the app itself, everything runs smoothly. This model is 55 inches and fills our living room well, especially with the couch set a bit farther back. The TV also runs incredibly quietly. You do not hear anything coming from it. After watching for around 40 minutes to an hour, it did not feel warm to the touch. It stays cool, and whatever airflow system it uses works well without making noise. Overall, this TV has exceeded my expectations. The combination of Mini-LED, QLED, and 4K makes the picture stunning, the setup was effortless, and the everyday use has been enjoyable for both streaming and family watching. I can now confidently say that Hisense delivers quality in both style and performance, and I am genuinely happy with this purchase.

This thin TV is so easy to set up. I only had to attach the two small stands that make up the base and plug it in. The two stands have a convenient "T" shape and two screws that make it impossible to install incorrectly. Once I turned it on, I was prompted to log in to my existing account, and all of my settings were imported. It recognized the Wi-Fi without me having to enter a password or search for a connection. I plugged in several other devices, and they were also quickly recognized and worked immediately. There are 4 HDMI inputs, so I was able to connect everything I wanted to. The picture is vibrant and sharp. I was impressed by the quality of the video and I was happy that I didn't have to spend any time adjusting colors to make everything look natural. It all looked great from the start! The only odd thing was that the enclosed manual was used for several different models. I suppose they all have the same easy set-up, but the instructions for this 55" model said it would take "at least three people" to set up due to the weight of the TV being 140 pounds! I knew from reading the description before I bought the TV that it only weighed about 30 pounds, so I knew that wasn't correct. It did give me a bit of a surprise, though, wondering how I was going to get that TV onto my existing TV stand! Of course, since that information was a bit inflated, the TV fit into the expected space perfectly. I'm very happy with the ease of set-up, the importation of all my information, and the built-in apps that make browsing easy and enjoyable. The manual could use some updating, though!

I purchased the Hisense 55” Class U6 Series MiniLED QLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Fire TV and I love it. In order to set up the tv you need to log into your amazon account and then it’s off to the tv/movie watching races. The picture is crystal clear and the menu is easy to navigate. The remote is simple and has quick buttons to easily access apps such as Netflix, Amazon and YouTube. The price point of this TV is much lower than the quality, making this a great buy.
