I am retired and build PCs and optimize TVs and stereo systems on the side. This TV was packaged normally. The legs are set so you can't put them on backwards. If you are coming from a Firestick, installation is simple. If not, you will have to download apps and enter passwords normally. It is built well, no flex at all. The TV is bright enough to show colors and great detail. It is not as bright as the next model up, but plenty bright. Picture quality is excellent, the blacks are surprising and on OLED level. Out of the box, calibration is very good, I saw no reason to change anything. There are five options on video and sound, surprisingly, there is a noticeable difference. I prefer filmmaker, sports and vivid, but that is subjective. If you don't care for presets, the menu has all the options to change to your taste. Processing is outstanding, much better that last years model. It upscales well enough that you may not see it necessary to wire directly. The new HDR 10+ is remarkable. I tested it wiring my PC to it having the most popular recent CPU and GPU, it performed well with low latency. No Game Bar, but I have found that it is not necessary if you have good input. Of course, use game mode. TVs have come a long way with sound. This one actually has a subwoofer and spatial sound. The new version of Dolby Atmos is impressive. With sound, same as video, 5 presets to choose from. I recommend you turn up the lowest 2 bands. 50 watts, plenty loud for a bedroom, small apartment, or small room. It is not the same as a quality soundbar or stereo output, It doesn't have booming bass, but I believe for most it will be acceptable. Think comparable to a new car stock stereo. Overall, if this is your budget, you will be pleased. Like anything else, you can always spend more for diminishing returns. One potential downfall: To meet the price point and picture quality given, it has a narrow field of view. This TV is designed to be sat in front of. If you have a large room, keep that in mind, but for a bedroom or small living room, no problem. For those who are unaware of the brand, Hisense is a manufacturer that has been making TVs since 1979, with nearly 19,000 employees. They are not as known in the US as worldwide. Their business model is different, building their own panels and parts, which costs less, and passing the savings along to consumers, and accepting less margins for mass production. Buy this, you will be happy.

The Hisense 55" U6 Series really surprised me in a good way. For the price, the picture quality is honestly impressive. The screen gets plenty bright, which is perfect if you have a lot of windows or keep the lights on. Even during the day, the colors still pop and everything stays clear, so you’re not squinting to see what’s happening on screen. The Mini-LED and QLED combo gives movies and shows a nice, vibrant look without having to mess with a bunch of settings. Out of the box, it looks good enough that you can just turn it on and enjoy whatever you’re watching. Sports and fast scenes hold up well too, so it doesn’t feel blurry or laggy. What I like most is how easy it is to live with. Fire TV makes it simple to hop between apps, and the setup takes just a few minutes. Nothing complicated or frustrating. It feels like a TV that just fits into your routine without any drama. Overall, this model is a great pick if you want something bright, colorful, and modern without spending big money. It’s definitely a solid everyday TV that does a lot right and feels like a good value.

Background: We have a 50” TV in our bedroom that we mainly use for TV or movies before bed. It’s been decent but we wanted an upgrade to something bigger and brighter with a better picture quality. TLDR: This TV is good for the price. The picture is sharp and the colors were accurate. The speakers left a lot to be desired and didn’t deliver the sound quality I was hoping they would. Design: The TV was lightweight and thin which made it easy for me to unbox and hang it on the wall myself. The downside was when I was playing with it prior to mounting, the legs were too far apart for the TV to fit on the TV stand. That was a disappointing miss on the design. Picture: The picture was great, sharp, and colors were accurate. There was no noticeable motion blur during moving scenes. Brightness made it easy to see even in broad daylight. Sound: I was disappointed by the sound quality of the speakers. They were very focused on the high end and had no bass. It made watching movies feel very superficial and not at all immersive. Luckily, I have a sound bar that can easily address the shortcomings. Overall: I really like this TV for the amount we will use it. I’d reconsider the purchase if I had to rely solely on the built-in speakers but we won’t end up using them as it’ll be sound bar or even headphones mostly.
