One thing that has become common in pretty much every smart TV these days is that the home screen is now a new advertisement space and they want your data. So, it’s not like this TV is out of the ordinary on that, but everything seemed like it was “Sponsored” as you try to find what you are looking for and there are several data collection and privacy settings that are on by default. Once you get it set up, I recommend going into preferences and disabling a lot of those, unless you like the data collection for customization. Out of the box, this TV is slightly thicker than other TVs I have had in this size range, but who is looking at it from the side. Picture quality on this TV is really nice. The anti-reflect screen and the ULED tech really give it bright colors and decent contrast. I’m actually kind of shocked at how little blooming there is when testing it out in high contrast situations. However, the local dimming options really start to mess with the image and create some very odd half lit areas. Making some situations look way darker than they should. I found leaving the local dimming off gave a more consistent image, especially in high contrast situations. The viewing angle on this TV is also surprising. Many get drastically washed out the moment you are at any angle from the center. However, there is some noticeable difference, it is not so drastic that it becomes unwatchable. I tested from about 60 degrees off set and could still make out everything. Being that this is a Fire TV, you have all the digital providers that you can think of. You can connect with 5 Ghz, 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi, or Ethernet cable. With an Amazon account you can connect to Luna games and use your phone as a controller or connect a Bluetooth controller., There is Prime video and photos to make it a picture frame too. All while using Alexa features straight from the remote. You still have basic coaxial, and 4 HDMI ports. Two of them are 4K@60hz and the other two are 4K@144hz, which are great for PC or gaming consoles. Just make sure you are using the right port if you are looking for that higher refresh rate. Also, change the picture mode to “Game” so that it removes all the added processing. The different picture modes really change things up so you might mess around in there to find the perfect setting for you. Having “Light Sense” enabled looks drastic the first time I enabled it, but realized that it does pretty good for the environment. Like turn on the lights and the TV gets brighter, turn them off and it softens so as not to strain your eyes so much. Overall, I really do like all the options this TV has to offer. The quality is sharp, colors vibrant, contrast doing better than most LED, but not as good as OLED, still much easier on the pocket comparatively.

Great value for a 144hz tv. The ambient sensing features leave a lot to be desired. Manually configure brightness/dimming/color/etc for best results.

I requested the Hisense - 55" Class U6 Series Mini LED QLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Fire TV and when we do so the product is then shipped directly by the manufacturer to me. So, I am at work when this was delivered and my husband called to ask me what had just been dropped off at the curb on a wooden crate enclosed within a wooden box. Since I had requested this item in March of this year, I did not recall. This item had been shipped via a trucking company as freight vs. the standard FedEx type of delivery. Bottom line, this television was very well packed first in its own cardboard box then enclosed in a wooden box, arriving intact without any issues. However, if you purchase this in the store, I assume that you will take it home in the cardboard box, but if shipped through an online purchase who knows Now, why was I interested in ordering this item. I am a big Fire TV stick user and have them on all my smart tv's, no matter the televisions' manufacturer. Yes, I have the ability to download the various streaming service apps, but I like the way that Fire TV organizes my viewing choices and allows me to order my apps, in addition to making recommendations on content across various outlets. What I did not realize, silly me, at the time of ordering this was that the television is essentially programmed internally with a built-in fire stick and that its remote is an actual Fire Stick remote. So, if you are familiar with having purchased the Fire stick/remote combination, the stick part is now programmed in the tv and the remote is the only accessory inside the box. For now, I have this sitting on a surface and not on a wall mount. That means that I had to use the TV base and screws in predetermined holes, also included in the box. The quick setup guide recommends that this a 3-party job, but in my case, the 55" inch took 2 people as you must place it on its back to be able to access the bottom to attach the base. I had read that some people on a prior year's model had had problems linking this television to their Amazon Prime accounts, however, for me the linking was seamless and it even prompted me to choose which fire stick on my account to mirror in the set up. No problem there for me at all. I also did not connect this to a separate sound bar, but in my opinion the audio is clear and distinct. The picture color and sharpness are vivid and quite dynamic and for this price point I feel that the buyer is really getting good value. I also want to share that this Fire Tv has a newer feature built in which is called the ambient experience. This feature will revert to a screen saver of sorts, like art in a frame on your wall or tabletop while the television is on but not in use for content viewing. The user can then program what kind of "art" that they wish to display, and set it up as a slideshow, picking the time interval that it changes to another picture within that art type. I picked the artist Claude Monet, a French impressionist painter. To recap, this is a total package with the Hi-Qled MiniLed, glare-free /anti-reflection screen and Dolby Vision-Atmos creating a very dynamic picture quality and vibrancy, as well as good sound right out of the tv's speakers. I do recommend the purchase of this television.

The Hisense 55” U6 Mini LED QLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Fire TV is an impressive machine. I always find the 55” TV size to be an ideal size for most of my rooms such as garage, office, bedroom, or basement rooms. This TV has impressed me with its bold colors and clarity. The Mini LED characteristics of this TV set really do allow for the colors to pop and bring precise clarity. The colors seem very bright for shows, movies, and gaming content. The contrast between lights and darks is very easy to see and this is like what I have seen on higher priced TV sets. This is really helpful for gaming as I play at 144hz refresh rate and get to see more depth in darker scenes on games. The Mini LED backlighting is phenomenal because the shadows in movie scenes really shows without being washed out. I’m able to watch this TV in both day and night because of an anti-reflection and glare free screen. My current family room setup has multiple windows and even with blinds the light peeks through in daylight hours. The ability to watch sports on my TV during daylight hours without any glare makes it much easier on my eyes to enjoy the action at hand. Gaming with HDR gaming and Dolby Vision is fast, smooth, and crisp to keep up with my race car games and FPS games. Dolby Vision Atmos gives that visual and audio clarity that you can see crisp images and hear more clearly when watching your content. This is also a Smart TV with Amazon Fire TV ability. This TV is super reliable for the features that Fire TV offers and you pretty much have all the content you want available to you for free or a fee. The Fire TV features all the Alexa voice commands you are used to and the Fire TV layout screen. Super easy to navigate and very easy to add all the additional apps you need to continue your streaming of popular services. The TV is about 36 pounds in weight as I am using the TV with stands. The stands are the kind that are 2 feet on both left and right underside of the TV. There are 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, and 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, along with an optical digital audio output. Included in the box is a plug to connect to a power supply and the TV remote with batteries. I had this TV out of the box and ready to plug and play within 10 minutes. This size TV is great for one person to carefully unbox and get situated. I’m overall very impressed with the picture quality and the budget value of this TV. Hisense has left me with a better sense of confidence in their TV sets than I had previously with an older model TV set.

Conclusion: I’m genuinely surprised by this TV’s display and ease of use. I don’t typically give 5-star reviews, but this TV is an exception, but this is the exception for a this entry to mid level television. If you’re looking for a TV with a simple user interface, responsive performance, and a surprisingly good display, then you should consider the Hisense U6 series TVs. The Fire TV interface is straightforward and easy to use, even if you’ve never used the platform before. The TV is also very responsive switching between apps or returning to the main menu feels quick, none of the frustrating delays wait for the TV to finally respond. The display quality has been the biggest surprise. I’ve noticed details in movies that I’ve watched before, including lighting and small visual details that I never noticed before. The picture quality feels like a much higher end TV, but at a much more affordable price point. Another nice feature is the voice-to-text capability on both the remote and TV. It makes searching much easier and saves you from slowly typing every letter with the remote or having to set up your phone to do the searches. For anyone looking for a reasonably priced TV with an easy-to-use interface and excellent picture quality, I would highly recommend the Hisense U6 Series with Mini-LED. Other Notable Features: The TV supports a 144Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync for gaming. I haven’t personally tested this feature because my current gaming console doesn’t support a refresh rate this high, but it’s great to know the TV is ready for future upgrades.

The picture quality on this TV is outstanding. All the colors are sharp and clear. It was very easy to set up. I wanted a TV that had at least a 120Hz Refresh Rate for watching sports and action filled movies. This has a 144Hz refresh rate and makes everything easy to follow with zero lag. I liked this TV so well that I ended up purchasing a second one for my bedroom. The FireTV is a plus and a breeze to set up also. I highly recommend this TV.

Very bright and crystal clear picture. Gaming and watching movies has been a blast on this TV. It can do 120hz on the ps5 pro and regular ps5 for those looking for that.

Picture is great even in a very sunny room and was even able to get rid of the old soundbar as the audio was much better than old tv. All the apps allowed me to cut the cord so the tv is going to pau for itself over the next few months. Bestbuy of Oxford Valley really helped me out after Bestbuy.com botched the order.

For being a 50-inch TV with the specs it has, the TV surpassed my expectations for the budget I had set for my living room tv to be paired with my Apple TV. The speakers are surprisingly good; I don’t use my soundbar as much anymore.

It's a great tv for the money has a sharp picture easy to operate

I upgraded from an old Toshiba Fire TV (around 2018 or so), and this has been a major upgrade. The picture quality is really phenomenal, especially in low light scenes. I love the auto dimming feature, it's very nice - I don't have to constantly adjust the brightness when we turn out the room lights. I do recommend turning off the "motion processing" motion blur feature as it can make some fast moving text look quite odd, but that's easy. Not sure how the sound is, because you shouldn't trust any TV for sound - just get a soundbar. Very snappy and quick response times, which we love. And built in Airplay?! Can't beat it. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this Tv based on reviews and because of the Black Friday sales. I have to admit that I am not disappointed in my purchase. It was very easy to set up and I was able to enjoy right away. I find the screen to be very nice for the price point. I didn’t know what to expect from this brand of TV that I have never heard of before. If I had one complaint about this tv it would be the remote control is skinny and small so it doesn’t feel comfortable in my hand. I am going to need to find a universal remote before this one gets broken from being dropped.

I bought the tv for the 4k resolution and 144hz refresh rate. Like it so much that I bought a second for my other room. Great for of and PS5 Pro.

I was not familiar with this brand when I purchased it. The setup and configuration were very easy, including activating Netflix, and the TV comes with the Amazon Fire Stick

Picture quality is pretty good. Set up was easy. Colors are great and blacks are very good not oled quality but very good.

The quality that comes out of this thing is just mind blowing. I haven't tested it out with games yet but I'm sure it'll exceed my expectations
