I was using it to monitor for wildlife in my attic, and it generates a super-clear picture, and alerts me when there is activity. You can "draw" on the image where you want the motion detection to work, so this is cool. Easy to set up, once you find the right app. Seems well built. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is while it does give you motion detection, it does NOT allow you to record the motion-activated activity unless you pay for a subscription ($3 per camera per month, and 30-day free trial, so it's not bad). Without this, you only get a thumbnail image of something entering into the field of view, and nothing really useful in my situation - maybe it's enough for your case. It is true this detail is somewhat buried in the description, but to me this was the major "aha" moment. It's nice it takes a micro-SD, and again, it seems nicely built Has a built-in stand as well, and hardware to mount it to a surface. If you unplug the camera, and plug it in again, it reconnects with minimal fuss. Yes, I would recommend this, with the above caveat.
