Posted .Hello there, thank you for your interest in Wyze Cam. Please note that Wyze Camera needs a 2.4GHz network when setting up as our products do not currently communicate with 5GHz networks. It might connect to a hotspot but we don't recommend it for a stable connection. We would recommend taking a look at these articles for further information:

Quirt working after 1 1/2 months.

I purchased two, one works as it should, the other quit working a month and a half after I purchased it from BB. Returning it to the manf is a pain and not easy to do. I'm sorry BB doesn't stand behind their products the way they used to. My next purchase will be online, and not through BB.

But at least the customer service is great and sends a new one right away. I love their other cameras and locks but this one seems delicate

Wouldn’t connect

I’m unable to comment on its video or picture quality due to this. I returned it and purchased another name brand camera which connected immediately to my internet. I cannot recommend this camera.

Waste of Money

I rebooted the router per the instructions and it will turn on briefly and then turn off. This is useless if I'm away from home. The Wyze customer service is not helpful. So I'm stuck with a $60 useless brick.

Cheaply made

Shall I say more?.......It is a tech device which uses your cell phone app and records images and videos without having to purchase a monthly service. Well, it's like this.....JUST buy it!
