Engagement curve way to flat. When I played it, it was a bit buggy.

Amazing game but misleading online play.

I can see why fans of previous games in the series are a little upset by this entry since it plays more like Diablo 3 but with an over the shoulder camera. The RPG elements are great and feel more like something closer to Skyrim than anything else. To call this game 'open world' is a little deceiving since the map itself is very massive, but you can only travel in portions of the map at a single time without having to load the next. The areas are still quite huge and can take up to half an hour to trek from one side to the other on foot. The campaign is very very long, in fact, you don't even see the opening title/credits until you are close to 2 hours into the game. The exploration of the land is satisfying but feels more like something out of Fable than anything else, just in the sense that you never go into any large structures that require any paused loading, but more you are spending most of the time in very open outdoor areas with the occasional entering of a small structure to either pick up a mission or buy goods. The graphics is this game is where I have my only real issue. Playing the the Xbox One the graphics don't resemble those of a next gen game, but the massive world does. I've had many times during an in-game cinematic where objects, landscape or people will just suddenly appear or pop into close frame. This isn't a huge drawback because it seems to only happen during cinematic; I haven't run into any delayed draw distances or anything while in live game play. In short, this is a satisfying game of the genre that will have you playing for a long long time and a combat system that can be set up for anyone's play style. The only thing that would get this game a higher rating would be the correction of graphical glitches and just the overall graphics themselves. I understand the shine of the game took a hit on account to make it as massive as it is, but it really does look like something you'd expect from previous generations. (In fact, I would assume there is no difference in graphics between previous and current gen consoles)

Dragon Age Inquisition is a Strategy RPG Game and Sequel to Dragon Age 2. You can create your Character and explore the world doing Side Quests and Exploring dungeons for treasures. You gain exp in Fights and your Party can learn many skills which can help you in a tough fight. You can choose to be Strategic or Can Focus on hitting the enemy all out. The Game has a Great Story to it as well :-)

The story was weak and the game play is just like all the others. Nothing new at all so if you have not played the first two or didn't enjoy them don't do this one

This is one of my favorite Xbox one games. The story is fantastic as well as the gameplay and graphics. There are countless hours of game play to get consumed in. This game is money well spent. I highly recommend especially if you were a fan of Oblivion or Skyrim.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is a great game and has a very expansive story filled with many things to do. The dialogue in the game is great and the gameplay is great. Many hours could be spent in this game and that speaks volumes about any game.

Has the depth and story of skyrim but with next gen graphics to wow you. Tough choice between Shadows of Mordor and Dragon Age for game of the year,

The BEST game I have played on XBox One

I cannot rave about this game enough! I liked the first game, never played the second but Inquisition is absolutely brilliant. Imagine old school JRPG mechanics, mixed with a modern open world RPG! As in, you can run around and hack and slash, or you can go to a top down POV and choose which attack each character in your party will use. You can switch out party members, upgrade them as you wish, and your own character is more customizable than I have seen in any game. The storyline is fantastic and you have tons of choices in how to play.

Never have I been a fan of Bioware until...

I tried playing the Mass Effect games, but ultimately hated them. I couldn't sink into teeth into the story line or gameplay. However, Dragon Age turned me into a big fan. The story is rich and the characters are really quite intriguing. If you're not used to this style of RPG, it may take you a little bit to get the hang of everything, but ultimately you'll walk away feeling content about your purchase.

I've been a huge fan of Bioware since the days of Baldurs Gate. They manage to somehow grab me with their games like no other company. Well... some of their games (Dragon Age 2, not so much). This game on the other hand had me from the start. The battle system is somewhat simple which is a good thing but definitely a lot of added challenge when you raise the difficulty and are forced to control the other characters and make sure all the right spells/skills are used. The world is just enormous with all kinds of terrains and biomes that you will be exploring, all of which have a plethora of quests and areas to discover which feels rewarding in and of itself. All the characters are pretty likable barring a few annoying ones, but what game doesn't have those? The fights with the dragons and certain bosses are a definite challenge and feel quite epic, a word which I won't use lightly. It's a great feeling trying to take down a huge dragon, failing a handful of times and then slaying it. The game took me about 120 hours. I was extremely thorough with my playthrough trying to find and do every little quest and explore every area. Simply said I love this game.

Cool game, awesome graphics, custom character design, and unqiue fighting style. Switch between each of your 4 party members while battling is pretty cool. Just remember to do main story quests, otherwise you will never finish the game or lvl up.

This game is great, but makes me want to call off work. Big open world to explore, lots to do, hard not to get lost in. Even the online co op is fun.

Excellent Installment to the DA Series

I was at first pretty skeptical about this game, I have been consistently disappointed with video games this year. Honestly, not a single game launch has impressed me for so long. Dragon Age: Inquisition certainly changed that for me. Don't get me wrong, the game is not without it's faults, and can be frustrating if you've got a little OCD. There's so much to do, and it can be very disorienting at first. However, after a few days of playing, I can honestly say that I am proud of this installment to the DA franchise, and Bioware has released a masterpiece. Is it perfect? No. Should you try it? Absolutely.

Overall a great game, but it is now free with EA Access. If you don't have EA Access I recommend buying this game. It's not as good as Skyrim (IMO), but is a great game overall.

To be fair, which actually isn't fair, I only gave it 4 stars, not because of the game but the xbone, and the fact that it still only plays games at 720p. Good game though!
