Trying to catch up to my friends
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As a certified Geezer gamer, my friends upgraded to the XBOX one last year and I finally had the funds to catch up. The process of setting it up was tedious however. The XBOX One is NOT a plug and play system. Took over 24 hours of updates and downloads to set the system up and then another day of downloading the game that came with the system. AND more downloads for the games that I wanted to play online with my friends. Once that was done I enjoy being able to play online with my friends however. Hopefully I will not have to upgrade to a new gaming system for a while?

I've always loved this console

I think what makes this different than the previous console generation is just how friendly it is to the home. I can watch TV on it, I can stream Twitch on it, I can upload videos so all my friends and family can see. It's really just more than a game console at this point and as our family gets older, this is necessary for us.

Takes way too long to download games and I have a 25MB connection. Game freezes once and a while forcing me to reboot the console. When you upgrade it's supposed to be better then the previous model. Not the case here. Seems to have more cons then pros this time but as with all technology they force you to eventually buy it and that's where I am.
