I bought the Xbox One S to go with my new 4k TV. The smaller design is superior to the original. My original XBONE disc drive was faulty so it was worth it to upgrade since I was upgrading my TV anyway. May be worth waiting for Scorpio if you already own the original. Go with this system if you're purchasing the newest generation Xbox for the first time.

I have never been much of a gamer, but when I saw the totally capability of this machine in ads, YouTube videos, etc. I began to realize this would be a great entertainment center for my TV Room. First of all games are awesome! The picture and audio quality are top notch. It has 4K capability but my plasma display (Samsung PN51F8500) does a great job at 1080p and can handle the 24p frame rate this box can put out, .Blue Ray disks are excellent also as are video streams. If you have a fast network, you definitely want this box hooked up. Setup is easy, but it has taken me a little time to navigate smoothly around the menus. Great controller also, nice design! MS has dropped the price $50, but they also no longer give you the extra controller. I would call it another purchase choice rather than a real price drop, whatever, it is worth the price of admission.

Pros: - Amazing game selection - Battlefield 1 is incredibly realistic and makes you feel like you're in the battle - Unlike PS4 Pro, let's you watch 4k blu-rays! - Also plays 3D Blu-rays - HDR games look amazing Cons: - Having to pay for an Xbox Live Gold membership in order to do any co-op/multiplayer is unfortunate. - Occasionally appears to struggle with some 4k blu-rays Other Thoughts: I've never been much of a gamer, and in terms of skills, my 7-year-old can practically wipe the floor with me in Halo. But this console is converting me, particularly with the Battlefield 1 bundle! Between that and Star Wars Battlefront, it's incredible to experience the cutting edge graphics!

Awesome, 4K is great, system is about 40% smaller. Wish they still came with the headsets.

I have had a PlayStation 4 for the last 3 years, and decided to buy an Xbox One S. It did not disappoint! The 4k Blu ray player was a major selling point for me. I have a 4k TV so being able to watch 4k Blu rays with her makes colors really pop. Also, the amount of games are endless. Having backwards compatibility is great considering I've had an Xbox 360 before. Great Console, highly recommend!

Kids love the size of the X-Box One S. Very easy to use. Offers tons of apps!

I took advantage of the special that went on when I bought my 4K TV, so I ended up getting the console for about $100 after the bundle deal. I got it because it was my understanding that it would work as a 4K DVD player as well, but so far that has not been the case. It only is playing in 1080p format, so it needs some software upgrades to make it ready to go out of the box. Other than that, my adult children enjoy playing HALO on it.

The cheapest 4K player out. It also does everything else an Xbox One does. If you're a fan of Xbox One and have a 4K TV, this is a no brainer. The movie quality on the 4k movies we now get is a noticeable difference from 1080p.

No brainer. Sold a gen 1 xbox and bought this to replace it. Keeping up with tradition, the 2nd iteration of the xbox console exceeds the first one in every way just like the Xbox 360 slim did vs the Elite.

All he improvements you wanted in the One is not in the new system. It is lighter, streams movies and games in 1080 and 4K. Now you can get 1tb or 500gb systems. Black or white. Love it

This is a great value for gaming. Very good games, really good graphics. One of the best features is the ability to play the 4K movie discs (other stand alone 4K players cost just as much and don't play games!). I had purchased the PS4 initially for the kids for Christmas but brought it back for this feature. The graphics on the 65" TV look great. The controller is taking some getting used to (mostly played PC games), but overall I'm very satisfied, and the kids love it.

The last console i have owned was the Great Xbox 360. I finally decided to pull the trigger and buy a next gen console. Boy, i was definitely not disappointed with my decision. The controllers feel great, if not better then the Xbox 360 controllers. Much sleeker and nicer design. Its very quiet unlike the Xbox 360. System runs fantastic. I would definitely recommend getting this new Xbox if you don't already have a next gen console.

Wow, I have missed gaming for so long. Finally decided my kids need to experience gaming like I did growing up, plus I wanted to play some of these new games. So present for me, and present for the kids, plus way for us to play together! Although Battlefield game more for me, I bought rock band and Lego Force Awakens - Kids love the games, and we play together! Plus a Blu Ray player! Now need 4K TV to go with it!

This is a sharp system. I love the white finish and smaller size. It is also quieter.

I really like the slim design on the new Xbox, it takes up very little space.
