Customers are saying

Customers find value in the Xbox One X's superior graphics, 4K gaming capabilities, and enhanced performance, leading to an overall improved gaming experience. Many appreciate the smaller size and faster load times, but some users note the higher price point and limited storage as potential drawbacks. While some experienced issues with occasional lag or heat generation, the majority found the picture quality and ease of use to be excellent.

I bought my unit on release weekend. First Xbox since 360 rrod fiasco. First thing I notice is lack of exclusives. Nothing really worth purchasing for alone. Then I come to find I needed to spend more money to enable Dolby Atmos. I already have a dedicated 4K Blu-ray player so not really needed with Xbox. I ended up buying a few games that I could have bought for my PS4 Pro, but I didn't want over half a grand just sitting, going to waste. The other day it wouldn't update GOW4 and Microsoft said to uninstall and should work. I didn't really want to install game and download a 40+GB update so I deleted game. The next day Battlefront 2 has same problem. I deleted that game also. Two days later A.C. Origins does same thing. Microsoft walks me through some additional troubleshooting only to brick my device. They say I need to send it in for repair. Once it comes back I'm selling everything Xbox related for a loss and sticking with Sony for now on. The PS4 Pro has a great lineup of games. And the "faux k" works good enough for me.

    Excellent Upgrade From S

This console is an excellent upgrade from the S. 4K gaming is excellent and the picture quality on my Samsung TV is surreal. The console navigates faster through menus and there is a noticeable difference in load times. GTA 5 loads in seconds, not minutes. My console is completely quiet... I never hear it. I did start with a Project Scorpio Version, but it was louder. I guess these consoles are hit or miss with noise level, so make sure you return until you get a quiet one. The footprint is smaller and looks great in my entertainment center. A worthy upgrade to the S and necessary if you're still running the original beast.

      Hey there,

We're sorry to hear that Xbox One X hasn't quite lived up to expectations yet. To fully see the difference in what Xbox One X's more powerful processor, faster load times, and steady framerates can offer, we recommend playing one of the hundreds of great Xbox games that have been enhanced for the system. For a full list of games that have been enhanced just for Xbox One X, go here: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/xbox-one/xbox-one-x-enhanced-list

      Happy gaming,

    A BEAST

Believe the hype, this console is a beast! This has been one of the best console releases I have ever played. The fact that you can play some games at 4K, 60fps and it improves on older Xbox One games is a plus. This system can even play Xbox 360 and first generation Xbox games. Throw in the 4K Blu-ray player and this console is a steal at the price. I have a PS4 Pro and while I enjoy it for the exclusives, I'll be playing all third party games on the Xbox One X from this point forward for the best experience.

Bought the Xbox one X because I was having problems connecting to games suddenly back in 2018 with my basic Xbox One. Turns out it was just my internet. But I kept the One X because why not? Only a year and a half later, it starts freezing and shutting off while I’m trying to play certain games. Very unfortunate for having paid hundreds of dollars for this. The basic thing an Xbox needs to do is run the video games that I have bought to play. Obviously can’t even do that. It has happened many times now and is just discouraging me to play even more. I took very good care of this Xbox so I was legitimately surprised. Just bought myself a desktop gaming computer so I probably don’t plan on buying the Series X. Xbox won’t get anymore money from me for faulty products.

The Xbox one X is a mass improvement over the Xbox one S. That being said, The Xbox One S, is still a excellent gaming/media device.Games load faster on the Xbox One X. I'm using a external 6TB hard drive, and didn't have to re-format it. UHD Blu-ray play smoothly and loaded a bit faster than the Xbox One S. The only Con was, One of my games got corrupted, and had to uninstall and re-install it. Not really a big deal. This would be a wonderful gift to yourself, or a significant other. Go get one.

Pros and Cons of this Console

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Hi everybody! I am going to be commenting on what I like and don't like about the upcoming Xbox One X console. It's unfair to say what I don't like, considering that the "likes" outweigh the "dislikes". I have always been a console gamer. I do have a few games on my PC, but I do like the advantage of console gaming. All I have to do is put the disc in the tray and press start. I know that it will run it each and every time without having to worry about system requirements and whether or not my hardware is powerful enough to run the games I want to play. That is a big pro to any console out there. Not just the XBox One X. I think that's one of the big reasons that people choose to be console gamers. The graphics may look better on PC, but it's nice that Microsoft is releasing the XBOX One X so that console gamers can have close to the same graphic beauty as a PC player. It definitely makes me happy. I also like the fact that there is a 4K Blu-Ray player in the XBox One X. There is one in the S model as well. I don't know what Sony was thinking when they left it out of the Playstation 4 Pro. The only thing I can think of that would be a con to this system is the 1tb Hard Drive. Not so much the space, considering that I have a 5tb external hard drive that I would be plugging into it to use, but the fact that it's a standard Hard Drive. The XBOX One Elite that came out a few years back had a SSD drive in it, I do believe. They called it a Hybrid Drive. Not sure if there's a big difference or not. But I know it ran a lot quieter on the Elite than it did on the standard XBox One consoles. Probably less moving parts. I dunno. Anyway, that's really all I wanted to say about it. I am really looking forward to November. Can't get here fast enough.

      Hey there,

We're sorry that you're having an issue with your new Xbox One X. Just in case you haven't tried troubleshooting the problem on your own yet, here's a guide that may help you out: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/networking/connection-solution

If that doesn't help and your console is still within the return period, we suggest exchanging it for a new one with Best Buy. Otherwise, every console comes with a limited one-year warranty, so we suggest contacting the Xbox Support Team for help in repairing or replacing it. They can be reached here: https://support.xbox.com

      Hope that helps,

    Best console in the world

I love this console. I play on everything, including the PC, and having the console experience setup for you with just a few cables and everything being predetermined has a lot of advantages. I love the ease of use and the lack of graphics settings to tweak when I just want to sit down and totally focus on the game. It's so handy to have the HDMI passthrough to hop back and forth from TV to the store or games for the few hours a week I watch sports. Comparing to Sony I just feel as though the controller is better, the online is better, and it is very obviously more powerful than the PS4 pro. My first real home console game that I enjoyed was Halo and Halo 2 so those are the games that I really love. At the end of the day, play where your friends are though.
