Many appreciate the smaller size and faster load times, but some users note the higher price point and limited storage as potential drawbacks. While some experienced issues with occasional lag or heat generation, the majority found the picture quality and ease of use to be excellent.

      Hey there,

We're sorry to hear that Xbox One X hasn't quite lived up to expectations. We suggest playing one of the hundreds of games that have been enhanced to take advantage of the more powerful processor, faster load times, and 4K capabilities of the Xbox One X to really see the difference. A list of games enhanced just for Xbox One X can be found here: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/xbox-one/xbox-one-x-enhanced-list

    Worst purchase ever

So disappointed!! Bought it brand new and not even a year yet and there’s always some problem. Doesn’t start up right, waste time to fix it. Another start up problem, more time wasted. Game doesn’t load up correctly or takes too long, load the thing again. I have never wasted so much time to play a system ever. And then the kids get upset because we can’t play for the day till I yet again waste more time to see why this garbage isn’t working again. Rather deal with my trusty Wii than this garbage. This is by far the worst system I have ever purchased. I would never recommend this to anyone. So very disappointed.

Haven't even had my xbox one x for two years and the thing has already broke. Have tried all troubleshooting steps, talked to microsoft and still wont work. After doing some research online it looks like I am not the only one. Spent $500 on this "premium" game console and it already crapped out on me. Contacted microsoft and its out of warranty and they wanna charge me another $250 to fix, LOL! I have had several xbox and playstation consoles. I have had two Xboxs break on me but all my playstations still work including ps3s. Will never buy another xbox and with the new consoles coming out PS5 has my money for sure.

    Most powerful gaming console ever

    Posted .

I am really impressed with the Xbox One X. The first thing that struck me was how well the console was built. It's a little heavier than my PS4 but just feels like it is higher quality. The Xbox One X is a huge improvement over the Xbox One S or PS4. Virtually all multi-platform games run significantly better on the Xbox One X. Many games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Forza Horizon 4 run natively in 4K. This is something that no other console can do. In fact, this was previously only reserved for high end gaming PC's. There are advantages for those playing at 1080p as well. Many games will run with additional graphical detail at a full locked 60 fps in 1080. This is the absolute best console on the market for playing multi-platform games. Games like Call of Duty, Madden, NBA 2K, Battlefield, Doom, Red Dead Redemption will simply look better and run better on the Xbox One X. An additional benefit to Microsoft's platform is the backwards compatibility. My back catalog of the Xbox 360 games were immediately available for download and play on the One X. (Note: not all 360 games have been made compatible yet, but Microsoft is constantly releasing more) Last, one of the biggest complaints for Xbox One has been the lack of exclusives. I don't think this is completely valid. Microsoft has several awesome exclusives on the console including Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars, Sunset Overdrive, Forza 7, Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, Quantum Break, Rare Replay, etc... In addition, they have several new exclusives coming out next year. Overall, I would highly recommend the Xbox One X to any gamer. It is the most powerful gaming console ever released.

      Hey there,

Thank you for agreeing that Xbox One X is the most powerful gaming console currently out. It's great to hear that you've had an opportunity to check out graphically intense games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Forza Horizon 4 in true 4K running with steady frame rates. And extra thanks for recommending Xbox One X as the best console for playing multiplatform games. Sorry, but I can’t give a console that barely lasts past the two year mark any more than one star. Barely used as far as gaming, mainly used to play 4K physical media. Died while watching a streaming movie yesterday. Microsoft's _last_ generation of consoles breaking down so often is what lost them my gaming business _this_ generation, and it's looking like _next_ generation will be the same. Bought this and my PS4 Pro from Best Buy on the same day and the Pro is (knock on wood) still working well. Sony wins!

This product started acting up after 2 months and broke in less than 4 months. It freezes multiple times during play. I purchased the product service plan so I returned the xbox to best buy. Now its being “fixed” (which takes quit a while. 10+ business days) so in the end I will have paid full price for a refurbished xbox Ive owned for less than 5 months. That is, assuming its fixed. Ive been hosed Tommy.

      Hey Elmo,

We're sorry to hear that you're not completely satisfied with your Xbox One X. While it's true that gameplay in games doesn't differ between members of the Xbox One console family, the faster processing power and quicker load times should give you a big benefit in terms of better visuals and overall experience, especially if you have a 4K TV. We recommend checking out some Xbox One games that have been enhanced just for Xbox One X: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/xbox-one/xbox-one-x-enhanced-list

I hate my Xbox one X, it glitches all the time with game crashes, internet disconnections, saved game data failures. I was recommended to send it off to Microsoft for 3 weeks by geek squad. I haven’t yet because why the heck would I want to be without anything for 3 weeks, terrible decision, wished I would’ve stayed with PlayStation.

Product works grate and slows down over the first year even with factory resets tell it can hardly load the apps or even start up at all. Expensive waste of money. I'm vary unhappy. Get the standerd or s because the x will leave you disappointed right after the warranty is up.

    EXCELLENT console

If you don't have a 4k HDR TV or even a 4k TV, the console is still a good upgrade. It just depends on you. If you can afford the cost, you'll benefit from it. Not as much as someone with a 4k HDR TV, but you will. First thing- the console is HEAVY. It's considerably heavier than the One S. It's also quite a bit smaller than the One S, which is awesome. There's almost no noise too, so the old 360 fan days are gone for good. I played Assassin's Creed Origins for four hours and then watched a 2.5hr long 4k movie and the console was barely warm. The 4k and HDR is freaking amazing. It really brings out the contrast so it's easier to see details in dark areas and it separates textures in the bright areas. Movies are super crisp and clear too. You will not be disappointed.

Crazy that this beast comes in such a small package and is also quiet. I literally haven't heard it while playing any games. The game experience is a dream, with games like Rise of the Tomb Raider & Assassin's Creed Origins looking mindblowingy good. Definitely worth the steep price.

xbox one x is a console of great quality, the graphical change and general performance of the console is noticed from the first moment, and games like final fantasy xv, ac origins and forza seem like totally new games.
