great console for the generation - lots of games!!

This console feels must more premium than the competition. Wonderful system with best controller on the planet.

This is my 3rd Xbox one, having had a day 1 edition and keeping an S for the family room. I purchased this to companion my LG OLED. So far it's been hooked up and ran for just over 60 days. Visually, it is impressive, every game looks beautiful..... Or would, if I could get it to actually play any. The system updated about two weeks ago, just outside my return window, and is now nothing more than an expensive paperweight. Since the update when I can get a game to run, it's because I've hard reset it at least twice. Putting a new game on the system, impossible. It can't install a new game from the disc without stopping install 3 or 4 times at least (AC Unity is currently on its 4th attempt). And how long a game stays on the system, is anyone's guess, Fallout 4 was completely wiped off during the update apparently. I really really wanted to like this console. I've had several 360s and an original, stuck with them during the red ring of death fiasco, and defended them when talking to family and friends. But after this.... Just done. After God of War drops in April, a PS4 pro will most likely take this one's place.

For the time I had my One X, it performed flawlessly and the resolution was great. It's light, the removal of the power supply like the ones found on the first gen One's added much greater portability, and games ran much more noticeably smooth. However, almost only a month into owning the console, I was unable to connect to the internet through wifi or a wired connection, and any time I would load a game, the console would automatically shut down. I had to spend hours on chat with an agent only for them to tell me that my console was suffering from an unspecified "hardware problem" and that my only options were to pay Microsoft a $15.00 fee to have a new console sent to me in a timely manner, or wait two weeks while a new one is delivered. This experience alone has been enough for me to recommend looking elsewhere to buy a console. Not only is the product unreliable, the service given when there is a problem experienced is laughable at best. For $500, it's not worth the headache.

The first one I bought was defective, Fan was extremely loud and making all kinds of strange noises, I exchanged it under warrenty and the new one I just got stopped working after a week. The console wont turn on at all, The xbox one x is a joke!

Most of Xbox's Exclusives are available on PC. This Device is Marketed as a High Performance, High Graphics Machine. Sony and Microsoft are both making an odd play with a focus on higher resolution than higher FPS. But supposedly this thing can do "True 4K" at 60FPS for all games. Time will tell how much of that is true. Console Wars are dumb, but Xbox Needs more Exclusive games to compete with Sony's lineup. A PC can play most of the "Exclusives". Ok you don't want a PC fine, so You must be the audience that HAS a 4k TV/Device this is marketed for then right?

If you like getting a startup error that locks the system and forces you to unplug the device in order to get it to start up again, or if you like having hours of game play lost due to storage sync issues, then this is the device for you. The sync issues are especially annoying since the only way to not lose data is to stop playing when the alert pops up, delete all saved games, and then wait half an hour for the system to complete the task and reboot. This box has had nothing but issues since we purchased in last Dec, and we rarely play it anymore due to these problems. Waste of over $400.

Purchased on March 16th , installed on March 16th. Only played a couple of games and watched one 4k movie. Tuned on unit on Monday the 19th, unit sounded like a jet airplane. The noise was so loud I had to turn my TV almost all the way up, just to hear it. I decided to research this on line and discovered that many users are having this problem. I would recommend the Xbox one s at this point. Looks like Microsoft is having problems with the cooling system on this product. Returned the product to store, this is unacceptable.

Not many people could notice the better graphics, and sound was just broken, not working on my unit. I think the One S is a way better buy.

The controllers are trash, the one the controller that came with it didn’t work then I bought a brand new one for $70 bucks and still didn’t work. There games are also trash, there games are exactly same as the 360. In all just get a ps4 pro, or pc unless you want to waste money and time
