Husband is a huge Xbox fan and needed this the day it was released. He loves it and all the new technology. Esp that u can play Xbox one games on it as well

First true 4k gaming console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you're thinking about buying the $500 xbox one x you probably already know all about it. By far the most powerful home gaming console ever. Plays 4k blurays (but so does the xbox one s). Playstation Pro doesn't play 4k blurays and isn't powerful enough for true 4k gaming like the X. How noticable is the difference? Well... Your mom for sure won't see the difference in games. Maybe the HDR and 4k in movies is a recognisable improvement but it's not as drastic of an improvement as the jump from standard def on a crt to 1080p on a flat screen.You really can't buy a gaming pc that can do 4k for $500 though so this thing is a great deal for the money but you kinda have to be a techie to get it. Cons? Wont play 4k blurays out of the box. You have to download the xbox bluray app ajd adjust your tv settings which can be a bit of a pain. Not all games are 4k or have a 4k update.

With the rise of crypto mining and soaring PC components (specifically the GPU), it now makes more sense economically to go with something like a PS4 Pro or the XBox One X if you want to jump in the 4K space. A lot of the games are not a consistent true 4K, but the XBox One X is a great proposition financially for what it offers.

Couldn't wait to see what gaming on a larger screen would be like. I've been a PC gamer since the early 1990's. The system is easy to set up, especially if you already have a Microsoft account. The hardware is great. I bought Call of Duty WW2 to play first. The visuals were great. Very realistic. I can't compare the X-Box to other platforms, but I can say that this is a great system.

GTA V has horrible servers and I play this slit. Mostly bought an additional game so I could play with my daughter so it does what I need it to do.

I have a new 4K TV and I wanted something that could play 4K Bluerays. I don't know why Sony decided not to include that on the PS4 but that was the decision maker for me to switch. Love the controller, its more comfortable to me than the PS. Anyways. looks great on my 4K tv, performs well, no complaints.
