The S has a larger hard drive. While the Series S has the SSD, I didn’t feel like it ran noticeably faster than my One S. There are no entertainment in HDMI options, only an HDMI out to a TV. Removing this particular Xbox model from being used as your main room Xbox if you want to hook it up to surround sound efficiently. If you’re looking to buy your first Xbox, and this is your price range. Go for the One S.

I use it for game pass, so it works for me. They should have given more storage with the removal of the physical drive, or kept lower storage with a physical drive.

The best solution is to invest in the Seagate SSD 1TB Expansion Card for Xbox Series X/S, which will add 1TB of SSD storage to your console. Another solution is to add a standard external hard drive, which can be used to store and play Xbox 360 and Xbox One games that have not been enhanced for Xbox Series X/S.
