It is a step up from the Xbox One S. If you have $300 and if you had to choose between this and a switch I'm definitely choosing this system.

Actually I am satisfied with this Console, its a little power house! Got it connected to a gaming monitor and loading speeds and performance is top notch. I really dont care about 4k or 8k gaming but the performance on this console makes playing games enjoyable. So far I am happy with the Series S and its my secondary console for competitive gaming. Still have my xbox one x on my 4k HDR 75 inch TV so I dont see a reason to upgrade to Series X for time being. Only con for Series S is the lack of interal storage space. But overall happy! One more thing the new Xbox series controlers will get stick drift after a few months had to buy a third party controller.
