So this console will play titles like Elden Ring....with visuals that look virtually the same as my original Xbox One. Youll find yourself selecting "Performance Mode" over "Quality Mode" so that games are playable...but it completely kills the next-gen experience.

I recently purchased the Xbox Series S, and overall, I’m really happy with it. The design is compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to fit into my entertainment setup. Despite being the smaller version of the Series X, it still delivers impressive performance—games load super fast thanks to the SSD, and the graphics look smooth and sharp even at 1440p. What I like most is the value. Paired with Game Pass, it gives access to a huge library of games at a reasonable price, so I never run out of things to play. It’s also very quiet while running, which is a big plus compared to older consoles. That said, the main limitation is the storage. The 512GB fills up quickly if you’re downloading a lot of big titles, so an expansion card or external drive might be necessary. It also doesn’t support native 4K like the Series X, but for someone who doesn’t need the highest resolution, it’s more than enough. Overall: A fantastic console for the price—perfect for casual and mid-level gamers, or anyone who wants a next-gen experience without spending as much as the Series X.

Amazing. So easy to set up, memory hasn't been an issue (however I'm just a girl who loves her minecraft + other small indie games haha). Effortless set up which I really appreciate as someone who knows nothing about consoles. Definitely smaller than you'd expect, but it packs a punch! Doesn't seem to get loud, and hasn't overheated at all either. Loving it!

The Xbox Series S stands out as the most affordable entry into current‑gen gaming, offering impressive performance for its size and price. Reviews consistently highlight its compact design, fast SSD, and excellent integration with Xbox Game Pass, while noting trade‑offs like reduced power compared to the Series X, no physical media support, and tight storage space.

    The Best Value In Gaming

The Series S may be the little brother of Microsoft’s line up, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not perfect for you. For the average gamer than does not need the best of the best, this beats any console out there. The power it provides in conjunction with the size is incredible. This little machine was made to game. No, you can’t play all AAA games at 4K 120FPS, but that’s not what this was made for. It was designed for the average person to enjoy, not for the pixel-peeping refresh rate enthusiasts. It’ll play all games the Series X will, maybe just not as pretty or smooth. Most people don’t even own a TV or monitor that match the potential the Series X can offer. It’ll play games, surf the web, and consume content all day long all in a footprint that’s a fraction of the size (and cost) of the competition. Looking to get into gaming for yourself, your family, and/or your kids? Look no further.

Xbox works great. Easy to use and very fast. I would recommend buying directly though Best Buy as I had issues with the Xbox I ordered unknowingly through the third-party marketplace.

The Xbox Series S has been a great console to own. I really enjoy how compact and portable it is, making it easy to move around the house or take with me when traveling. Despite its smaller size, it runs games smoothly and offers an excellent next-gen experience. One of my favorite features is the backwards compatibility. Being able to play older Xbox titles along with newer releases gives me a huge library of games to choose from, and everything runs well. Quick Resume is also a nice touch, letting me jump right back into games without long load times. The digital-only setup works fine for me since most of my collection is digital anyway, and storage can always be expanded if needed. Pairing it with Game Pass makes it even better, since there’s always something new to play without extra cost. Overall, the Series S is a solid choice if you want a powerful yet portable system. It’s affordable, efficient, and gives you access to both classic and modern Xbox games in one sleek package.

The Xbox Series S is a compact, budget-friendly next-gen console that delivers fast performance, smooth gameplay, and access to hundreds of titles through Xbox Game Pass. It’s all-digital with no disc drive and has limited storage (512GB), but it's perfect for casual gamers or those who want great value without needing 4K graphics. Sleek, quiet, and surprisingly powerful for its size.

I am honestly amazed at the Xbox One Series S. The performance on this console truly is mind blowing… on my old xbox games would take ages to load but now they load basically as soon as I launch them and are ready to play. The price is truly great for the performance and capacity you are getting.

The Greatness of the Xbox Series S

The Xbox Series S is a compact and powerful console that offers a fantastic gaming experience at a more affordable price compared to its larger counterpart, the Series X. One of the standout features of the Series S is its design; it's sleek and modern, making it easy to fit into any entertainment setup. In terms of performance, the Series S delivers impressive graphics and fast load times thanks to its custom SSD. While it has less storage than the Series X, the ability to expand storage through external drives helps mitigate this issue. The console supports a wide range of games, including many from previous Xbox generations, which is a huge plus for gamers looking to enjoy a vast library. Another highlight is the Xbox Game Pass service, which provides access to a massive selection of games for a monthly fee. This makes the Series S an excellent choice for gamers who want to explore different titles without committing to individual purchases. Overall, the Xbox Series S is a great option for those looking for a next-gen gaming experience without breaking the bank.

Amazing product. Arrived faster than originally quoted. Price match policy is amazing and it actually comes from BestBuy instead of other stores that ship you consoles from 3rd party vendors. Only downside is storage capactiy but if you have gamepass, it eliminates the issue. If you have the money, play +4 "large" games at once (2k, Warzone, FC, etc.) and don't want gamepass I would recommend splurging for the series X. I'm maxed out on storage with Madden 26, CFB 25, Avatar, and 2k25, but now using Gamepass I use the cloud for everything else plus the additonal games and just have Madden saved for max performance.

I bought this Xbox Series S for my son because he wanted one for his college dorm, and we didn’t want to take the console we already have at home. This model is more basic, but it has worked perfectly for him. Xbox is always reliable, the size is ideal, the storage is great, and he can play his games without any issues. He also uses it to watch YouTube TV to follow all his sports games. Very recommended.

The Xbox Series S is hands-down the best gaming console I’ve ever owned. From the lightning-fast load times thanks to the custom SSD, to the stunning 4K visuals and buttery-smooth frame rates, it delivers a truly next-gen experience. Quick Resume is a game-changer—being able to jump between multiple titles almost instantly is incredibly convenient. The performance is rock solid, whether I’m playing AAA blockbusters or indie gems on Game Pass. Speaking of Game Pass, the value it offers is unbeatable. This console is quiet, sleek, and powerful—everything I hoped for and more. Microsoft really knocked it out of the park! If you're even slightly considering an upgrade, do it. The Xbox Series S is worth every penny

    Great console but terrible company

Everything about this console would make it a 5 star if the parent company wasn’t so greedy and horrible. Great price, great UI, compact and quality design/build- all around a great console experience. The downsides are just as substantial though. You have to spend the money on the premium version of the console to use your back catalogue of disk games. You cannot redeem your previously purchased disk games and have to buy them again digitally. I love the ease of use and quality of digital downloads, just wish there was a way to use all of the other games I own without buying them again or spending twice as much on the premium console. It is also deeply unfortunate you have to purchase a wired headset OR an Xbox branded/approved wireless one. It is unbelievably frustrating that we’ve reached a point where accessories are proprietary/limited. I have also gone through 4 Microsoft controllers in 2 years. They get plagued with stick drift or the headphone jack breaks. My final gripe is the price of storage/requirement for external secondary storage. All of these are another example of shareholders being prioritized over consumers (the only reason the company has success).

I have the series x, but it is a bit big for travel reason. And this xbox does everything i ever needed from the series x, but its compact size is what made this purchase amazing. Its compact size allows me to take with with me on plane rides, and keep it on my carry on. So i dont have to worry about it getting lost or beat up.
